Control Resonant: How to Search Underhill’s Apartment in New Growth

The Search Underhill’s Apartment objective is the middle stretch of the New Growth side story in Control Resonant, sending Dylan Faden to Dr. Raya Underhill’s home at 140 Fletcher Ave in The Park. Reaching it hinges on one item you pick up earlier and on clearing the Mold enemies parked outside her door.

Quick answer: Use the apartment key found in Underhill’s office, travel to The Park, enter the marked building east of the FBC Base, collect the Research Notes On The Mold upstairs, then speak with Dr. Underhill to receive the Key to Underhill’s Sewer Lab.

Get Underhill’s Apartment Key first

You cannot open the apartment until you hold Underhill’s Apartment Key, which sits inside her office in the Central Executive division. That office needs the Clearance Level 6 Keycard, picked up alongside her Resignation Letter at the rooftop FBC equipment building in The Park.

Fast travel to Oldest House: Central Executive. Open the Map to orient on the Downtown 4 area and head toward the marked office block.

Take the elevator to the Executive Sector, follow the red-carpeted Executive Research corridor, drop to the lower level, and climb toward office 06.

Enter the Clearance Level 6 doors and read the Welcome Letter on the desk. Picking it up adds Underhill’s Apartment Key to your inventory and switches the objective to Search Underhill’s Apartment, noting the 140 Fletcher Ave address.

Travel to the apartment in The Park

The closest fast travel point to the apartment is the FBC Base in The Park. From there the building sits to the northeast, reached through the streets and alleyways below the rooftop.

Open the fast travel screen and select FBC Base under The Park zone. You spawn on the rooftop checkpoint.

Check the map to line up with the quest waypoint, then drop down from the rooftop to street level.

Work northeast through the streets and the indoor parking garage toward the waypoint. Reorient on the map whenever a gate is blocked.

Defeat the Mold Hostiles contaminating the alley outside the building. The entrance is the one marked with yellow mold on the pavement.

The round drainage pipe along the mold-covered ledge looks like a shortcut to the sewers, but it dead-ends at a door reading “Key Required.” Skip it for now, since that route needs the key you earn inside the apartment.

Search the apartment and find Dr. Underhill

Once inside, proceed along the hallway and ascend the staircase to the upper floor.

Unlock the wooden door on the left of the upper hallway with Underhill’s Apartment Key.

Inspect the bedroom desk to pick up Research Notes On The Mold.

Move into the adjoining kitchen and living room to find Dr. Raya Underhill. Exhaust the conversation, where she discusses her research, Dr. Darling, and the mold lab, and asks Dylan to track down her escaped test subjects.

How to confirm the objective is done

Finishing the dialogue triggers a Quest Updated notice and hands over the sewer key, so the on-screen prompts confirm the step immediately.

The counter gives you +1 Key to Underhill’s Sewer Lab.
A Talent Point +1 notification appears.
The objectives switch to Collect the Equipment and Find the Test Subjects at the Lab.

With the key in hand, you can head to the marked underground entrance and open the sewer lab to continue New Growth toward the escaped test subjects and the final choice about Underhill’s fate.
