Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave – Lost Temple Cat Location and Rewards

The Lost Temple Cat is a short errand quest in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave that sends you chasing a runaway kitty around Dagsion. The reward is generous for the effort, but the cat is not marked on your map and blends in with the dozens of other felines wandering the city. Knowing the exact spot turns this into a one-minute job.

Quick answer: Take the quest from the Priest Caring for Cats outside Smyrnos Temple. In Midtown, find the brown cat seated behind the fountain opposite the Arena entrance. Talk to the cat, then return to the priest.

Requirements to unlock the quest

The Lost Temple Cat is a Kindness Quest, which ties it to a specific route and chapter. Confirm these conditions before you go looking for the priest.

Available starting in Chapter 6.
Exclusive to Cai’s Path, since Kindness Quests only appear on his route.
On other routes you can switch to Cai once the Perch is unlocked to take it on.
You have a full in-game month to finish it, so there is no rush.

Where to accept the quest

The quest giver waits along Temple Row in Hightown, standing right outside the entrance to Smyrnos Temple. Look for the Priest Caring for Cats, who is easy to spot next to a cat of their own and carries a quest marker overhead.

Speak to the priest to accept the request. The dialogue explains that a temple cat has gone missing and wandered down Temple Row toward the arena. The priest also mentions the animal is completely brown, which helps you pick it out later.

Exact Lost Temple Cat location

The priest’s clue places the cat near the arena, but it’s imprecise, and the area is crowded with cats that look alike. The one you’re after sits in Midtown, behind the large fountain facing the Arena entrance. After eating salt at the temple, it ran off for a drink and is grooming itself beside the water.

From Smyrnos Temple, head south down the red-carpeted staircases through Hightown until you reach the gate leading to Midtown. Open the gate to move through.

In Midtown, go to the large central fountain opposite the Arena entrance. Walk around to the back of it, closer to the elevators heading to the lower part of town.

Approach the lone brown cat resting on the fountain steps. Unlike the other animals, this one shows a quest indicator and a “Meow” speech bubble, so you know it is the right one. That marker never appears on the map, which is why you have to find it on foot.

Press A to talk to the cat. Once you speak with it, the cat immediately heads back to the temple on its own.

Report back and claim the rewards

Finding the cat is not the end. You still need to return to the quest giver to turn it in. Head back north through the Midtown gate and up the grand staircase into Hightown.

Return to the Priest Caring for Cats outside Smyrnos Temple and choose Report. The priest confirms the cat was found near the fountain, and the quest completion banner appears.

You know the quest is complete when the QUEST COMPLETE screen shows up and hands you the payout. The two rewards are worth the short trip.
