Control Resonant: How to Find the Mysterious Dog and Toy in Central

The Central chapter of “Every Dog Has Her Day” places the Mysterious Dog on a residential rooftop in Central 3, with her missing plush toy stashed in the alley directly below. Finding the dog is quick, but the alley is guarded by red sniper laser sights and Hiss enemies, which makes the return trip the tricky part.

Quick answer: Climb the scaffolding on the road north of East Park Station to reach the dog, drop into the alley opposite her to grab the green plush toy under the Chowrap sign, then carry it back up and place it in her bed.

Mysterious Dog location in Central

The dog sits on a rooftop in Central 3, east of the FBC Field Office and south of the Patterned Factory. The clearest landmark is East Park Station: the dog is on the roof section closest to the station and the nearby petrol station. The fastest approach is to fast travel to the Central Frontline checkpoint and move toward the road running directly north of East Park Station. A paw print marker appears on the map once you are close.

Climb the scaffolding running along the building wall on that road to reach the roof, then walk over to the dog resting by her empty bed. Speaking to her adds the objective to your quest log and confirms the toy is missing.

Where the toy is in Central

Look at the wall opposite the dog and you will spot a glowing Chowrap sign. The green plush toy sits on the ground at the end of the alley directly beneath that sign, resting on a wooden pallet near the trash bins. The alley is crossed by red sniper laser sights and patrolled by Hiss, so it pays to clear the area before you grab anything.

Deal with the Hiss on both the roof and at street level first. Once you are carrying the toy, standard weapon attacks are unavailable, so fighting on the way back is far harder.

Retrieve the toy and return it to the dog

From the dog’s rooftop, drop down into the alley on the opposite side of the street. Use Elevate to hover across and slow your descent so you can weave past the red laser targeting rather than dropping straight through it.

Reach the plush toy on the pallet beneath the Chowrap sign and pick it up with telekinesis (L1). It will float in front of Dylan while you carry it.

Move the toy up and out of the alley. Use the nearby ledges, wooden walkway, and fire escape to reach the rooftops again. While carrying the toy, you can’t use Reach to zip directly upward, so climb in short sections using the ledges. Stay within the sector, or the toy will vanish and reappear at the pallet.

Return to the dog and place the plush into her bed (Square / L1). This drops the toy into the basket and updates the quest.

Rewards and how to confirm it worked

The moment the toy lands in the bed you will see a Quest Log Updated notification along with the rewards. The Central dog pays out +100 Source and +1 Undefined Reading. If those pop-ups appear and you can pet the dog, the Central portion is complete.

Central is one of seven dog encounters spread across Manhattan. Finishing all seven and reuniting the dog with every toy is what advances “Every Dog Has Her Day” toward the Dog’s Best Friend trophy, so it is worth cleaning up each zone as you unlock it.
