The Final Fantasy XV crossover in Final Fantasy XIV is live again, bringing Noctis and his broken-down Regalia into Eorzea for a short, combat-light quest chain. Running from September 24 to October 13, 2026, A Nocturne for Heroes hands out the Lucian Prince glamour set for finishing the story, plus a set of orchestrion rolls, a Triple Triad card, a hairstyle, and the four-seater Regalia Type-G mount for players with Gold Saucer points to spend.
Quick answer: Reach level 50 on a non-limited job, complete the MSQ “The Ultimate Weapon,” then talk to Kipih Jakkya in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X:8.5, Y:9.7) and finish all three quests before October 13, 2026.
Requirements to start A Nocturne for Heroes
Two conditions gate the entire event. Both must be met on the specific character you want the rewards on, and limited jobs such as Beastmaster do not satisfy the level check.
- A character at level 50 or higher on a normal Disciple of War or Magic.
- Completion of the main scenario quest The Ultimate Weapon, the A Realm Reborn finale.
Once both are done, speak to Kipih Jakkya in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X:8.5, Y:9.7) to pick up the opening quest, The Man in Black. Full details are posted on the official A Nocturne for Heroes event page.
If you took part in the 2019, 2021, or 2024 runs, open your Journal under Complete → Other Quests → Special Quests to see where you stopped, then resume from that quest instead of restarting.
The quest chain, from Ul’dah to Gridania
The story runs across three quests and includes three light fights. None of the mechanics are hard, but the fights end in failure if Noctis dies, so keep an eye on him.

Finishing Messenger of the Winds marks the character’s completion of the story that grants rewards. Any further activity is optional: glamour, orchestrion, Triple Triad, or Gold Saucer shopping.
Every reward and how to get it
The four glamour pieces come from the quests themselves. The mount, hairstyle, and Triple Triad card are bought from the Ironworks Vendor at the Gold Saucer with Manderville Gold Saucer Points (MGP), and those vendors disappear when the event ends.

The Regalia is obtained through a title, not a mount item. Purchase the Regalia Type-G Title and use it to unlock the four-seater mount. Its availability for purchase after October 13 is not guaranteed.
Orchestrion rolls from the Like Clockwork FATE
The music rolls are not tied to the story. Repeat the Like Clockwork FATE in Central Thanalan (around X:27.0, Y:21.0) to collect Unidentified Magitek, then trade those tokens to the Ironworks Hand at Black Brush Station for the following rolls:

- Relax and Reflect
- Veiled in Black
- Apocalypsis Noctis
- A Quick Pit Stop
Earning MGP for the Regalia Type-G
Set aside about 230,000 MGP for the mount title, Lucian Locks, and the Noctis card in one visit. If a previous run already gave you the card or hairstyle, reserve 200,000 for the mount and leave the other items. Save your points before going to the vendor instead of trying to earn the remaining amount on the final day.
Stack an MGP buff before you start a session. The Grand Company Squadron mission Counter-magitek Exercises can reward the Gold Saucer VIP Card, which raises MGP gains by 15% for 120 minutes.
If you cannot get a VIP Card, the Free Company action Jackpot II increases MGP payouts by 10% for 24 hours. The two buffs do not stack, and the VIP Card overrides the FC action, so use the VIP Card when you have one.
When a Moogle Treasure Trove event is running, trade irregular tomestones to the Itinerant Moogle for MGP Platinum Cards worth 50,000 MGP each, which is the fastest way to reach the mount total in bulk.
Inside the Gold Saucer, run the GATE events that trigger every 20 minutes and fill the gaps with Chocobo Racing for steady income.
Enter the Open Triple Triad tournaments that run every two hours at Card Square. Just taking part awards MGP and cards, and you can sell duplicate cards to the Card Buyer for extra points.
Round out the week with the recurring payouts: the Gold Saucer entries in the Challenge Log total 95,000 MGP, the Fashion Report pays up to 60,000 MGP for scoring 80 points or higher, and daily Mini Cactpot, weekly Jumbo Cactpot, and Wondrous Tails line rewards add more on top.
The Seasonal Event Replay trap
Once you clear Messenger of the Winds, speaking to Kipih Jakkya unlocks Seasonal Event Replay, which marks the three quests incomplete so you can play them again. Replaying does not grant rewards a second time, and it carries a real risk.
- Quest-related items cannot be bought or exchanged from the Ironworks Hand or recompense officers while a replay is active; access returns once you have completed all three quests again.
- If the event ends while a replay is unfinished, you can lose access to those purchases even if you completed them before starting the replay.
Make all purchases from the Ironworks Vendor and Ironworks Hand before starting a replay. Begin one only if you have time to complete the three quests again before the event ends on October 13, 2026.
You will know the event is fully done when the Lucian Prince set sits in your Armoury or glamour dresser, the Regalia Type-G appears in your mount list after using its title, and the Brother from Another Mothercrystal achievement is registered on your character. If any of those are missing, check your Journal for an unfinished Special Quest before the timer runs out.
