The orb puzzle sits at the base of the southern cliffs in Blitzwood, part of the Breezy Plains region of Aniimo. Inactive launch pads and a single glowing energy sphere block the climb to the summit where Alpha Blazen spawns. The mechanism only reacts to one active talent, Gravity Pull, which lets you move objects marked with ancient energy patterns from a distance.

Quick answer: Learn the Gravity Pull talent with 1 Report Card, use it to drop the energy orb into the floor socket to raise a wind launch pad, then double-press Space to fly up.

What you need before starting the orb puzzle

Two things unlock the whole route. Without Gravity Pull equipped, the orb cannot be grabbed at all, and the upper pedestal stays wrapped in thorny vines until fire clears them.

  • The Gravity Pull active talent, learned and slotted into a mobility skill set.
  • One Report Card to spend on that talent.
  • A Fire-type Aniimo, such as Helion, to burn the vines on the upper terrace.

The puzzle marker sits on the southern cliffs of Blitzwood. Open the map, track Alpha Blazen atop those cliffs, and travel to the ruins platform at the base.

Unlock and equip Gravity Pull

Gravity Pull is a Control-tag active talent with a 0 second cooldown and no EP cost. Its description reads: “Activates the target’s energy field to create a gravity link, allowing you to move objects with ancient energy patterns from a distance. Essential for solving puzzles in ancient ruins.”

Open the main menu and select Character, then click the Talents tab.
Find Gravity Pull under Active Skills and spend 1 Report Card to learn it.
Equip Gravity Pull to a mobility slot, such as Mobility Skill Set 1, so it is ready in the field.

Move the orb and climb to the summit

Go to the ruins platform at the foot of the southern cliff. Target the glowing energy orb, use Gravity Pull to establish a link, then steer the orb into the circular floor socket connected to the conduit. This sends power to the nearby plates and lifts the wind launch pad.
Once the metallic pad illuminates, stand on it. When you see the prompt “Double-press Space to fly,” press Space twice to ride the rising air and glide to the raised stone terrace above.
Summon or switch to a Fire-type Aniimo like Helion and burn the thorny vines binding the second pedestal. Defeat the Bolty guarding the mechanism while you clear the brambles.

After removing the vines, energize the exposed mechanism to switch on the terrace’s second launch pad.
Board the upper pad, then double-press Space to fly up to the summit plateau, where Alpha Blazen is waiting.

How to know the puzzle is solved

You have solved each stage correctly when the floor plates glow and a vertical wind column rises from the pad. The launch prompt only appears over an active pad, so if no updraft shows, the orb is not fully seated in its socket or the upper mechanism still has vines on it. Reaching the summit plateau where Alpha Blazen spawns confirms both pads are powered.

Clearing the route puts you in front of the Level 45 Alpha Blazen, the local Alpha that feeds Blitzwood collection and the Thunderchaser badge progress.

Not every ancient ruin in Aniimo opens the same way. Some structures respond only after you twine with a specific Aniimo, and others hide the path behind stone that a particular creature must shatter before the mechanism will react. Gravity Pull is the tool for orb-and-socket ruins, so keep it slotted whenever you find spherical stones marked with ancient energy patterns.
