Code redemption is locked until you reach level 5, which you can hit quickly by defeating Jujutsu students near the spawn area.
A successful code adds spin tokens to your account instantly, which you can confirm by checking your spin count in the menu. To actually use them, head to the building near spawn with the staircase, go to the back room, and talk to the NPC handling technique, clan, or race spins.
