Carbon Copy: Part II Walkthrough in Control Resonant

Carbon Copy: Part II is a Side Story in Control Resonant that follows the fate of twin sisters Heidi and Hannah Garrett. It begins in Central with a report of a missing patient and ends in The Park, where you confirm what happened to Heidi. The quest is short and combat-light, but it moves you across two zones and relies on reading a few documents to advance.

Quick answer: Talk to Dr. Florez at the Field Hospital in Central, read the “Note From Heidi” in the ER Medical Unit, fast travel to The Park, reach the sisters’ apartment, and use “Report Dead Body” on Heidi in the bathroom to finish.

How to start Carbon Copy: Part II

This quest chains off the earlier Carbon Copy Side Story. It opens once you have progressed the campaign far enough and Dr. Florez has a new problem for you in Central.

Complete Act 1 of the main campaign.
Finish the first Carbon Copy Side Story.
Speak with Dr. Florez in Central; Zoe also contacts Dylan by radio.
Carry a Level 1 Keycard for FBC clearance level 1 doors.

The Quest Log opens with the objective “Talk to Dr. Florez at the Field Hospital.” Set it as your tracked quest and head to the marker in the Central district.

At the Central Field Hospital, find Dr. Florez at her outdoor workstation. A yellow diamond quest marker is positioned right above her.

Work through the conversation. Dr. Florez explains that Hannah is non-responsive and that Heidi has gone missing. Dialogue options such as “How did she get out?” and “I’m trying to find Heidi” fill in the situation before the objective changes.

When the talk ends, the tracker updates to “Search for Clues to Find Heidi,” pointing you at the medical area beside the hospital.

Search the ER Medical Unit for clues

The clues you need sit in and around the ER Medical Unit container, just below the main Field Hospital trailer. Only the “Note From Heidi” is required to progress, but two nearby documents add context.

Before going inside, take “Notes On Pattern Victims,” the collectible document resting on a gurney outside the ER Medical Unit.

Enter the ER Medical Unit and read “Medical Report: Hannah Garrett” resting on the counter. This is optional but explains Hannah’s condition.

Try to speak with Hannah on the hospital bed. She is infected with mold and only responds with groans, so no dialogue advances here.

Go to the vacant hospital bed on the left and examine its attached tray. Read “Note From Heidi” to update the objective.

That thing isn’t Hannah. I can’t explain what it is or why it resembles us, but my sister isn’t that. Something’s terribly off! They claim she was discovered roaming the street; did anyone look through the apartment? I can sense Hannah somewhere out there—the real Hannah. If she’s still in her apartment, I need to go find her. I’m sorry. —Heidi

Once the note is read, the tracker becomes “Return to Heidi and Hannah’s Apartment” in The Park.

Return to Heidi and Hannah’s apartment in The Park

Leave the ER Medical Unit, open the world map, and locate Heidi and Hannah’s Apartment in The Park.

Scale the orange modular containers to get onto the rooftop checkpoint; from there, open fast travel and choose FBC Base in The Park.

From FBC Base, sprint and glide southwest across the mold-covered rooftops toward the apartment, evading any airborne enemies along the way.

Enter the apartment building through the exterior doorway and climb the interior stairwell to the sisters’ unit.

Search the apartment. Move through the hallway and bedroom, then go into the bathroom, where you find Heidi dead on the floor.

Use the “Report Dead Body” prompt on Heidi to radio Zoe. This is the action that closes the quest.

How to confirm the quest is complete

After you report Heidi’s body to Zoe, a quest completion notification appears on screen. Open the Quest Log and check that “Carbon Copy: Part II” now shows as completed. That confirmation means the Side Story is finished, and it sets up the next entry in the Carbon Copy chain, Carbon Copy: Part III.
