Neeru Fireblade Quest Guide: Find Him in Orgrimmar’s Cleft of Shadow

Neeru Fireblade is a Horde turn-in quest that sends you into Orgrimmar’s underground Cleft of Shadow with a demonic collar recovered in Durotar. The whole objective is delivery, so once you know exactly where Neeru stands, it takes about a minute to finish.

Quick answer: Carry the provided collar into Orgrimmar’s Cleft of Shadow and speak to Neeru Fireblade inside the purple tent near the Ragefire Chasm portal, then click Complete Quest.

Neeru Fireblade quest requirements

This is a Classic-era Horde quest that follows the Skull Rock objective. You do not need to gather anything yourself, since the collar is handed to you when the quest is offered by Margoz.

Where Neeru Fireblade is located

Neeru Fireblade is an orc warlock who stands in the Cleft of Shadow, the shadowy cavern beneath the center of Orgrimmar. He is stationed inside a purple tent right beside the meeting stone and portal for Ragefire Chasm, at roughly 49, 50. A yellow question mark floats above his head, and a glowing ritual circle marks the floor of his tent.

Neeru is inside Orgrimmar, not out in Durotar. If you run to the collar’s origin point in the open world, you will not find him there.

Route to reach Neeru Fireblade in the Cleft of Shadow

Start from the Valley of Strength or the central pathways of Orgrimmar and head toward the canyon passage that leads to the Cleft of Shadow. Follow the stone road until you reach the narrow pass.

At the canyon, look for the dark cave opening set beside a lit brazier. Enter it to begin descending underground into the Cleft of Shadow.

Ride down the ramp and follow the winding path through the purple-lit cavern. You will pass Orgrimmar Grunts and several tents as you reach the open cavern floor.

Turning in the quest and confirming it worked

Interact with Neeru Fireblade and choose Complete Quest. He inspects the collar and remarks that it interests him, then tells you the two of you will speak again shortly. The quest leaves your log and you receive the experience and reputation reward, which confirms the turn-in registered.

Right after that, Neeru offers his own follow-up work. A yellow exclamation mark appears above him for the next step in the chain, Ak’Zeloth, and he also hands out the dungeon quest Slaying the Beast. Pick those up before you leave the tent so you do not have to walk back down into the cavern later.
