Project Slayers 2: How to Get the Highest M1 Damage Build

Stack damage titles, a Tier 3 +10 Nightfall weapon, best-in-slot gear, and maxed mastery to push basic attacks past 100.

M1 damage is your light attack in Project Slayers 2, the swing you chain between skills. Pushing that number as high as it will go does not require a specific clan or a short-lived buff. A permanent setup built from damage titles, a fully upgraded weapon, the right gear, and maxed mastery already lands well into triple digits on its own.

Quick answer: Equip all three damage titles, wield a Tier 3 +10 Nightfall weapon, max your Weapon and Breathing mastery, and fill every gear slot with damage pieces. That reaches 82+ base M1, scaling to 100–160+ per hit with bleed active — no clan needed.

Unlock the three damage titles

Titles add flat Additional Damage that applies to every hit, and the three damage titles stack together. Each one unlocks at a total-damage-dealt threshold, so you keep all three permanently once earned. Equip every one of them in the Titles tab.

TitleRequirementAdditional DamagePassive
Bonebreaker500,000 total damage+1+0.15
Devastator2,500,000 total damage+1.5+0.2
Annihilator10,000,000 total damage+2+0.25

Ten million total damage sounds steep, but it can be farmed without effort. An indestructible statue sits inside a cave near Akaza at Windy Peak, and it soaks up unlimited hits.

Ride to the cave near Akaza at Windy Peak and find the statue that cannot be destroyed.
Set up an auto-clicker and leave your character attacking the statue while AFK. Your total damage counter keeps rising the whole time.
Once you cross 10,000,000 total damage, open the Titles menu and equip Bonebreaker, Devastator, and Annihilator together.

Get a Nightfall weapon to Tier 3 and +10

Nightfall weapons carry the highest base damage in the game, so the whole build starts with one. The Nightfall Katana and Nightfall Gauntlet (also called Nightfall Claws) are both crafted at Ouwland. The Nightfall Katana schematic sits in a hidden cave below Mistfall Harbor, reached by dropping down the cliff near the Shinobu boss area. If you are still working toward it, the katana line runs from the Thunder Katana up through the Thundercloud Katana in the Ogawara Dungeon before the Nightfall schematic becomes available.

Starting with a Nightfall weapon won’t maximize its damage on its own. Raising its tier and refining it are key, and Refiner Hagane in the Hidden Mist Village handles both. At Tier 3 and +10, damage is roughly double that of lower tiers: Nightfall’s Additional Damage rises to about +18, its Damage Factor reaches around 1.3x, and Nightfall Bleed adds more stacks.

Talk to Refiner Hagane in the Hidden Mist Village and open the refinement table for your weapon.
Refine up to +7 normally. Below this point, failures are far less punishing.
From +7 onward, apply Refinement Guards. They prevent down-ranking on a failed roll and raise the Great Success chance from 0.5% to 0.75%, which lets you skip straight from +7 to +10.

To protect your main weapon, roll refinements on a disposable secondary weapon and use the transfer mechanic to move the level onto your primary for 7,500 Wen plus materials.

Best damage gear for every slot

Every gear slot can grant flat Additional Damage or an Additional Damage Factor multiplier, so both types are valuable. Factor bonuses become more powerful as your base damage rises; pieces focused on them are most effective after your weapon and titles are set. This setup pushes M1 damage as high as possible without using a Nightfall armor set.

HaoriStone Haori+21.02x
MaskSilver Fang Mask+2—

The Demonic Lantern drops from World Bosses and also adds a healthy +105 Max Health and +55 Max Stamina alongside its damage. The Bamboo Muzzle comes from the Nezuko boss at Final Selection Plains. The Silver Fang Mask is pulled from Ouwigahara dungeon chests and also grants +0.5% Crit Chance.

The Stone Haori drops from Gyorei at the Stone Sanctuary. It is the safe haori pick, but once your base damage is already high, swap to Flame Haori Style 1 instead. Style 1 carries a strong 1.07x Damage Factor that outperforms Style 2’s small +1 flat bonus on a maxed weapon.

If you have the full crafted set, Nightfall gear plus a Firstlight Haori and Firstlight Lantern is the highest ceiling, and a fully maxed setup lands around 110 M1 per swing before any clan buff. Skip the Nightfall Cape, which trades away its damage slot for movement speed and stamina regen.

Max your Weapon and Breathing mastery

To hit the highest damage thresholds, max Sword Mastery and either Breathing or Thunder Mastery. Farming bosses is the quickest way to raise both. Kasugai Crow quests direct you toward valuable targets, and at max level, one Akazo kill can give around 4,200 Serpent and Sword mastery.

Ouwigahara dungeons provide another source of mastery, while the Tower Crystal allows tower points to be traded for weapon mastery levels. For a faster session, you can purchase a 2x mastery boost in the in-game Shop with Robux or Ore; it lasts 30 minutes.

Spend skill tree points on damage nodes

Additional Damage nodes in the character skill tree each provide a small bonus. Look for them in the Character, Weapon, and Style branches.

The catch is cost. Filling the damage line takes roughly 150 to 170 points for only about +3 Additional Damage in total, so the return is modest next to weapon and gear scaling. Take the nodes if you want the absolute ceiling, but spreading some points into Block Points, Max Health, and stamina regen is usually the more practical call for longer boss fights.

Each Additional Damage node in the tree adds a small +0.8, so a full investment costs many points for a modest gain. Shown at 00:42 in Drew’s video. Image: Project Slayers

Optional: clan buffs for extra scaling

You can use the full setup without a clan, but Combat Intuition provides the biggest temporary M1 damage increase if you have access to it. In a live test, activation raised hits from roughly 40 to 126 per swing. Soyama and Kamado both have the perk, though they trigger it differently.

ClanCombat Intuition triggerBest for
SoyamaDealing damage to enemiesPvE and PvP
KamadoTaking damage from enemiesPvE only
RengokuAdds burn damage insteadWeaker fallback

Soyama’s perk activates as soon as you begin attacking, making it the better choice for boss farming and PvP. Kamado requires you to take a hit before the damage spike. Rengoku instead gives up raw scaling for extra burn damage from Heart Ablaze Mode, making it a fallback when Combat Intuition isn’t available to roll.

Confirm your M1 damage is working

Attack any boss or trainee and read the floating damage numbers. With all three titles equipped, a Tier 3 +10 Nightfall weapon, maxed mastery, and the damage gear above, base M1 hits land at 82 or higher and scale into the 100–160+ range once bleed stacks and buffs apply. A fully crafted Nightfall and Firstlight setup reads closer to 110 per swing before any clan involvement.

Lower numbers usually mean your weapon hasn’t reached Tier 3 +10, a damage-factor slot is occupied by utility gear such as the Nightfall Cape, or a title isn’t equipped. Correct those issues and the on-screen totals will rise, showing the build is working.
