Ride to Orgrimmar: How to Complete the Horde Quest in WoW Classic

Ride to Orgrimmar is the second step in the Horde meat-delivery chain that begins in The Barrens. You buy a wind rider from the flight master in Crossroads, ride an automated flight path into Orgrimmar, and hand a package of meats to an innkeeper in the Valley of Strength. The whole thing is a travel-and-deliver task with no combat involved.

Quick answer: Take the wind rider from Devrak in Crossroads to Orgrimmar for 1 silver, then bring Zargh’s Meats to Innkeeper Gryshka in the Valley of Strength to finish the quest.

Requirements before you take the flight

This is a Horde quest for orc and troll characters starting at level 10. You pick it up from Devrak in Crossroads after completing Meats to Orgrimmar. Accepting Ride to Orgrimmar puts Zargh’s Meats in your bags.

Level 10 Horde character (orc or troll).
Zargh’s Meats in your bags, provided when you accept the quest.
One free inventory slot to hold the delivery item.
Orgrimmar’s flight master already discovered, so the flight path from Crossroads is available.

The wind rider ride is optional. If you have quests to finish along the way, you can travel to Orgrimmar on foot and still turn the quest in to Gryshka.

How to complete Ride to Orgrimmar

In The Barrens, locate Devrak, the Wind Rider Master, on Crossroads’ western side. After speaking to him, pick “I need a ride.” and then mark Orgrimmar on the flight map. Pay 1 silver for the trip.

The wind rider mounts automatically and carries you across The Barrens, over the Southfury River, and into Orgrimmar. You do not need to steer or interact with anything during the flight.

The flight ends at the top of the Orgrimmar flight tower, next to Doras the Wind Rider Master. This is your landing point above the city.

Walk down the wooden spiral ramps inside the flight tower until you reach ground level in the Valley of Strength.

Cross the Valley of Strength toward the main inn building. The inn sits close to the tower where you were dropped off.

Enter the inn and speak with Innkeeper Gryshka. Hand over Zargh’s Meats to complete Ride to Orgrimmar. Look for the yellow question mark above her to spot the turn-in.

Rewards and how to confirm it worked

When Gryshka accepts the meats, the quest completes and you get experience, a small coin reward, and reputation with two Horde factions.

You know the quest is finished when the completion text plays, you gain 420 XP, and Gryshka immediately offers the follow-up quest, Doras the Wind Rider Master. Accepting it gives you the item Gryshka’s Letter, which sends you back up to Doras on the flight tower.

The current retail version of this quest works differently. It starts from Burok, is open to all classes, and awards 100 XP instead of 420. The Classic chain described here uses Devrak in Crossroads.
