Thrall, the Warchief of the Horde, holds court in Orgrimmar rather than out in the open world. He does not patrol or wander, so once you know which district and building to head for, finding him takes under a minute.

How to reach Thrall in Grommash Hold
You know you have the right NPC when the name Thrall appears with the Warchief title as you walk up to the platform. As the Horde’s faction leader he is friendly to Horde characters, so you can stand next to him safely to accept or hand in quests.
Why players seek out Thrall
Most trips to the Warchief are tied to quests he both starts and ends. One of the early Horde tasks he hands out is Hidden Enemies, which sends you east out of the city to Skull Rock in Durotar to retrieve a Lieutenant’s Insignia. The turn-in brings you right back to him in the Valley of Wisdom.
Inside Skull Rock you fight Burning Blade cultists, including Burning Blade Fanatics and Apprentices, until one drops the insignia you need. The cave is packed with enemies, so expect near-constant combat as you push inward.
Once a cultist drops the Lieutenant’s Insignia, loot it and travel back into Orgrimmar. Returning to Thrall in Grommash Hold completes the quest.
