Silent Hill: Townfall — How to Unlock the Long-Range Masonry Trophy

Land a 15-meter brick headshot on the hanging creature in Chapter 10 to earn this missable trophy.

Land a 15-meter brick headshot on the hanging creature in Chapter 10 to earn this missable trophy.

Although Long-Range Masonry is one of Silent Hill: Townfall’s trickier missable trophies, you only need one successful throw. Land a brick on an enemy’s head from more than 15 meters away. For the easiest attempt, head to Clara Woods in Chapter 10: Missing Parts; the hanging creature near a save point makes retries simple.

Quick answer: In Chapter 10: Missing Parts, grab the brick behind the gate off Abbey Way, save at the red phone booth by dialing 100, then throw the brick into the head of the creature hanging under the overpass from beside the shopping carts.

Where to attempt Long-Range Masonry

The setup takes place during Chapter 10: Missing Parts in the Clara Woods Estate. This is a Ground Level outdoor section with a foggy pedestrian street, a shopping arcade, and an overhead walkway. A humanoid creature hangs suspended in mid-air beneath that walkway, and it makes an ideal stationary target for a long throw.

The save method here uses a phone, which can conflict with the “Reject The Help” trophy that requires you to avoid phone saves after meeting Richard. If you are chasing both, plan your playthroughs so they do not overlap.

How to unlock the Long-Range Masonry trophy

Take the side alley branching off Abbey Way. At its dead end, a brick rests on the ground behind a barred metal gate. Select Collect to pick it up.

Go back to the nearby red public telephone booth. It serves as a safety net: if your throw misses, reload right away rather than lose the brick or move back into position.

Lift the handset and dial 100, listed as “Save Yourself” in your discovered phone numbers. This opens the save menu, so pick an empty slot and confirm. You’ll see the “Game saved.” message and the call will end.

Equip the brick from your inventory and run down the main street toward the overhead walkway. Stop beside the stacked shopping carts and the “STORE CLOSING” A-frame sign. This position puts you comfortably over 15 meters from the hanging creature.

Aim slightly above the creature’s head to account for the arc, then throw the brick. A direct hit to the head pops the trophy instantly. If you miss, reload your save and try again from the same spot.

How to know it worked

The moment the brick connects with the creature’s head, the “Long-Range Masonry” trophy notification appears on screen with the “Trophy earned!” banner. There is no delay, so if you land the headshot and nothing pops, you were likely inside 15 meters or the brick struck the body instead of the head. Reload from your phone save and reposition beside the carts before throwing again.

This is an Ultra Rare trophy on PSN, so getting the distance and aim right on the first clean attempt is worth the extra care. Because it’s tied to a single throwable brick in one chapter, saving before the attempt keeps you from having to hunt down another one if the shot goes wide.
