Every standard map in the asymmetrical Halloween horror game spawns with four ways out for civilians: the storm cellar, the exit gates, and a car. There is a fifth exit that never appears on its own. The Police Wagon is a secret escape route you have to summon during the match by calling in law enforcement and giving them proof that Michael Myers is on the loose.

Quick answer: Play as Annie Brackett, fire the Flare Gun at spawn, then fill your police badges using house phones. When responding officers spot Michael or a body, they dispatch the Police Wagon; board its open rear doors once POLICE WAGON ARRIVED shows.

What you need before the Police Wagon can arrive

The wagon is tied to a police response system that you build up during the match. Three things have to line up for it to roll in.

  • A way to fill your police badges quickly, which is easiest with Annie Brackett and her starting Flare Gun.
  • Working phones inside residential houses to keep calling the sheriff’s station.
  • A dead body or a firsthand glimpse of Michael Myers gives the responding officers physical proof of his presence.

Without that evidence, calling police alone does not dispatch the wagon. The officers have to confirm the threat before they radio it in.

Why Annie Brackett is the best pick

Annie Brackett is built around the police response, which makes her the fastest civilian for triggering the wagon. Her starting Flare Gun fills the first police badge the instant you fire it into the sky, and her traits shorten the wait afterward.

Trait / itemEffect
Flare Gun (starting item)Fires into the air to bring police to the area.
Convincing PleaReduces incoming cop wave timers by 10% for each badge you fill.
Exit Strategy25% increase in escape route discovery distance.
Speed KillsStart a car with only a repair kit, but with a longer hold interaction.

How to summon the Police Wagon

Before the match starts, set Annie Brackett as your civilian and make the Flare Gun your starting item.
As soon as you spawn, fire the Flare Gun straight up. This instantly fills the first of your police badge levels and starts pulling officers toward the map.
Move into residential houses and look for wall-mounted or desktop rotary phones. Along the way, order any residents you find to hide so Michael cannot pick them off while you work.

Use the phone and complete the timed skill checks to call the police. Each successful call raises your badge level and speeds the next cop wave. Failing a skill check disconnects the call and delays your progress, so aim for the PERFECT and GOOD prompts.

Keep chaining calls between houses to top up every badge level. A dropped call or an interrupted phone interaction stalls your response, so fortify the room by locking exterior doors when Michael is near.

Fill the second and third badges to guarantee the strongest police response. With all three filled, Annie’s Convincing Plea shaves the most time off the wagon’s arrival countdown.

Let the summoned officers patrol. The wagon is only radioed in once they find hard evidence of Michael, so a nearby body or a direct sighting is what flips the switch. When it does, an arrival countdown begins, typically running 7 to 10 minutes from match start and shortened by 10% per filled badge.

Reaching the wagon and confirming the escape

Watch the on-screen status as your calls land. You will see POLICE WAGON CALLED once officers radio it in, then POLICE WAGON ARRIVED when it pulls up. That second banner is your cue that the fifth exit is live.

Head to the main road and find the white Haddonfield Police Wagon parked there. Interact with its open rear doors to climb in. Once a surviving civilian reaches those doors, the escape completes, and the match tracks it just like the cellar, gates, and car exits.

Respawning as police reinforcements

Building up the police response also changes what happens if you die. Once reinforcements are unlocked, civilians who go down can come back as armed law enforcement using the Police Reinforcements card, spawning in as a sheriff deputy or Dr. Loomis.

Those officers can loot weapons such as a revolver, sledgehammer, or .357 Magnum and use a flashlight to stun and try to detain Michael Myers directly. That extra pressure buys the remaining residents time to reach the wagon while the countdown runs down.
