Mastery is what pushes your weapon, Breathing Style, and Blood Demon Art damage to their highest values in Project Slayers 2, and it also decides where you land on dungeon leaderboards. The fastest route to maxing it changes completely once you reach the player level cap, so the method you use depends entirely on whether you are still leveling or already sitting at the top.

Quick answer: At Level 225, quest EXP converts directly into Mastery. Loop Crow boss quests as a Slayer or Muzan/Biwa quests as a Demon in a server packed with high-level players of your own race.

Why Level 225 unlocks the fastest Mastery farm

The whole system flips once your character caps out. Below the cap, boss quests still hand you normal EXP toward your level. At Level 225, that same EXP reward converts into Mastery instead, spread across your equipped combat styles. That is why high-paying boss quests suddenly become the most efficient Mastery source in the game.

Slayers receive assignments from their Kasugai Crow. Demons use their bell to travel back to Muzan’s Lair, where Muzan gives them quests via the Biwa system. Boss quests begin showing up at roughly Level 125; repeat that rotation to gain levels before the cap, though Mastery rewards start only once you reach 225.

When Crow or Muzan quests award EXP instead of Mastery, you still need to reach the Level 225 cap. Continue leveling before farming Mastery.

Find a server that scales your quest rewards

Quest payouts vary with how many high-level players of your race are in the server. Slayers benefit from having other high-level Slayers there, while Demons need high-level Demons. After changing servers, you may see a noticeably different Mastery reward for an identical quest.

Check the reward shown on your quest board before starting a lengthy farm. Taking another minute to find a lobby with a strong multiplier is better than spending an hour with a poor one. With favorable scaling, high-level Biwa and Crow quests can pay about 2,475 Mastery each.

The Slayer boss rotation route

The core loop is simple. Accept a Crow quest, fast-travel to the nearest unlocked shrine, kill the target boss, then repeat. Keep travel short and prioritize bosses you can drop quickly. A smaller reward that dies in half the time beats a bigger reward on an awkward boss.

This route strings together Crow quests with filler world bosses to keep you busy during quest cooldowns.

When the next Crow quest is still on cooldown, fill the gap with world bosses. If the timer has under a minute left, it can be worth waiting. Otherwise, start with Obanai.

Dungeons are not worth running at max level for this goal. A full dungeon can take up to two hours, rewards no money, and grants less Mastery per minute than the overworld boss loop.

Public vs. private servers

A busy public server may offer excellent Mastery scaling, yet it creates two issues: other players might take the targets you need, and public lobbies often have scripters and exploiters who teleport around and kill bosses instantly.

A private server removes that competition. It does not hand you a better multiplier on its own, but the scaling now rises with player count, so bringing in high-level friends of your race, or having alt accounts idle and AFK fish, raises the buff while keeping every boss and quest to yourself. You cannot reach the full public buff cap this way, but it is the most consistent method because nothing interferes with your rotation.

Neither option is always best. Read the on-screen reward first and use whichever setup gives a strong payout without constantly losing quests.

When to activate a Double Mastery Potion

Wait to use a Double Mastery Potion until your farm is ready. First secure a server with favorable quest scaling, check that your intended bosses are available, arrange your spawn points and route, and have healing or zone protection on hand.

With that preparation done, activate the potion and start your rotation. Server changes or boss searches can consume its duration without earning you anything, making them an easy way to waste the potion.

Farming Mastery before Level 225

Until you reach the cap, prioritize character progression; for a targeted Mastery boost, use the Ouwigahara Dungeon. It becomes available at about Level 65 once you finish the forge quest given by Blacksmith Togane. Choose Normal over Ranked for farming: Normal allows three lives, but Ranked allows just one.

Enemies do not award Mastery individually. Clear floors to collect dungeon points, then trade them at the Tower Crystal. The standard exchange is 3,500 points for 1,000 Mastery; 35,000 points therefore yields 10,000 Mastery, which you can assign to your chosen weapon or style. This is a good way to bring an neglected style up to speed.

Early on, choose cards that provide enough damage to clear floors quickly. As enemy hits grow stronger, add survivability and cooldown reduction to your choices. Once your build is reliable, point and fortune cards can boost the run’s total payout. Avoid chasing a large point multiplier if you might be knocked out on the next floor.

Backup methods when bosses are too hard

If world bosses are still too tough and your dungeon runs are not going deep enough, two fallbacks keep you productive.

  • Tier 3 chest guards in the Tundra: defeating the guards around these chests grants roughly 500 Mastery each, plus chest loot that can improve your build. You can also tag them alongside higher-level teammates.
  • Ranked PvP: A victory awards roughly 1,000 Mastery, but queue waits, match duration, and the chance of losing make its returns less reliable than boss quests. Treat it as a break from farming, not your primary method.

How to confirm your Mastery is climbing

You will know the max-level method is active when a completed Crow or Muzan quest shows a Mastery reward on the turn-in screen instead of a plain EXP number. The gain splits across your equipped combat styles, so watch the Mastery levels in your HUD tick upward after each kill. If those values are still moving as EXP toward your character level, you have not yet reached the 225 cap, and the conversion has not started.

Once you are capped, the rest is repetition. Efficient boss kills, a server with strong same-race scaling, and as little downtime as possible between quests are what carry you to max Mastery, and the same rotation quietly builds a Wen stockpile from the bosses along the way.
