AION 2: How to Farm Enhance Stones (All Sources)

Every repeatable, one-time, and free source of Enhance Stones ranked by payout, plus how enhancement actually spends them.

Every repeatable, one-time, and free source of Enhance Stones ranked by payout, plus how enhancement actually spends them.

In AION 2, gear advancement consumes Enhance Stones: they let you increase equipment’s enhancement rank and underpin nearly all character growth. Returns vary sharply: dismantling extra armor brings only a few hundred, whereas extracting one set of wings can yield 90,000. That gap makes choosing activities as important as playtime.

Quick answer: Start by collecting launch freebies; Daily Dungeons can then provide up to 10,000 per run. Cycle through late-game activities—Ascension Trials, Transcendence, and Dimensional Invasion—and dismantle unwanted equipment and wings.

What Enhance Stones do and why the cost climbs

The Growth system uses Enhance Stones: together with Kina, they purchase one enhancement level for a weapon, armor piece, or accessory, boosting its stats and your total Gear Score. Levels up to +10 are guaranteed. Beyond +10, a miss reduces the odds by 5 percent; the attempt still spends both the committed stones and Kina, while the item’s level does not change.

That guaranteed window is why the stone cost rises sharply with rarity. Taking a single item to +10 costs the following, on top of Kina:

Quality tierEnhance Stones to +10
Rare9,280
Epic63,060
Unique200,980

Power Shards can also be paired with Enhance Stones in Substance Morph to make Superior Power Shards, tying late-game shard improvement to this same stockpile. Prioritize equipment you expect to use longest, and hold back Kina; each enhancement attempt costs Kina in addition to stones.

If you extract a weapon already enhanced to +10, you recover the stones you spent on it, which makes swapping into better gear far less wasteful.

Free Enhance Stones to claim at launch

During the global launch period, several limited-time or single-claim offers provide substantial free bundles. Their totals exceed what most individual dungeon clears pay, so collect these before settling into a grind.

Daily Dungeons: the only endless farm

The Daily Dungeon is the single best repeatable source and the only one that never runs dry. It unlocks at level 30, and you get 14 entries per week on your account. The Daeva Bio-Research Base is the headline example, paying out based on how many enemies you clear.

Enter the Daeva Bio-Research Base and defeat as many test subjects as you can inside the 90-second timer. Your Odyle Point score converts directly to Enhance Stones, 100 stones for every 100 points, up to the 10,000 cap.
Prioritize Elite test subjects, marked by a yellow triangle above their health bar. Each one is worth 1,000 points, so take them down the moment they spawn and clear normal enemies while you wait for the next elite.
Before the run begins, pick a movement buff from the three offered. Footwork raises your move speed by 20 percent, and Fire Moth pulls normal enemies toward you faster, both of which help you reach distant elites in time.

Daily Dungeons follow a weekly schedule, so check which ones are up and spend your 14 entries on the highest payouts before the rotation changes.

Endgame rotation at the level cap

Once you reach endgame, three modes become your steadiest income beyond the Daily Dungeon, and you can run all of them in one session.

Ascension Trials

Once you reach Lv. 45, Ascension Trials become available; a clear can award up to 3,500 Enhance Stones, placing the activity among the best options right at level cap.

Transcendence

Defeating a Transcendence boss awards 2,000 Enhance Stones alongside Soul Codex, Silentium, and Kina. Since Transcendence is also central to the launch leaderboard prizes, a clear advances both goals.

Dimensional Invasion

Once the invasion ends, choose among Monster Cubes; every one contains at least 700 Enhance Stones. Selecting three gives about 2,000 Enhance Stones in total for that invasion, as well as other materials.

One-time and event sources worth clearing

Although the rewards are modest, you’ll encounter enough chances during exploration to make them worthwhile. Sealed Dungeons provide about 1,200–2,500 Enhance Stones, including ones in rival-faction territory, so clear them whenever you find one. Defeating an Expedition boss nets 1,000 Enhance Stones along with Kina and Silentium. While the event is running, every Shugo Festival minigame pays out 1,200 Enhance Stones.

To access Sealed Dungeons on the opposing faction’s side, watch your faction map for a purple rift; one appears every three hours. Entering starts a one-hour visit, after which the game sends you back to your home world, so prepare your route in advance.

Turn gear and wings into Enhance Stones

Use Extraction to turn unwanted equipment into Enhance Stones, clearing it from your Cube rather than letting it take up space. While leveling, this is the steadiest early source: each gear upgrade leaves you with an extra item.

Open your inventory and select the gear piece you want to break down. Look for the flask icon on the second item window and choose Extract. You receive Enhance Stones and unlock that piece’s transmog skin at the same time. Extracting 8 pieces returns over 500 Enhance Stones.
Wings provide a much bigger return when extracted. The World Market price for Dramata Nest Wings is about 4,400,000 Kinah per pair, and extracting them gives 90,000 Enhance Stones. That conversion explains listings from 3 million to 25 million Kinah, as players holding extra gold purchase wings specifically to turn them into enhancement progress.
Substance Morph offers a modest return: one unused Clash Rune Enhance Scroll converts to 100 Enhance Stones. Reserve this for scrolls you know you won’t need for your Clash Runes.

Spare gear becomes far scarcer than your enhancement costs in the mid-to-late game, so extraction alone will not keep up once you are investing in high-tier armor and weapons.

Passive sources to collect while playing

These are supplemental rather than a main farming method, but keeping up with them earns extra stones at no cost.

  • Deliveries for Abyss Supply Requests award between 100 and 1,500 Enhance Stones; the top-tier requests offer the largest amounts.
  • A Duty mission can grant as many as 1,000 Enhance Stones on completion at random, so take available missions whenever they appear.
  • Claim Achievement rewards as soon as they become available: a large number of Achievements include Enhance Stones.
  • Daeva Pass rewards continue paying stones at each level even after the launch bonus windows close.

How to confirm it worked

When extraction finishes, the awarded Enhance Stones appear in your inventory immediately, and the item is removed from your Cube. A successful enhancement is reflected by a higher plus value in the Growth window and improved displayed stats. If you fail above +10, the item’s level remains unchanged, but the following attempt gains 5 percent success chance; continuing to try the same item therefore makes later attempts progressively easier.
