Bravo Squad Walkthrough in Gears of War E-Day (Act 2 Chapter 1)

Bravo Squad opens Act 2 of Gears of War: E-Day, picking up right after the fighting at City Hall. Marcus and Dom are now folded into Bravo Squad under Captain Grey, and their first job is to push across Legacy Bridge, relieve Charlie Squad, lower the central span, and clear the route to the COG forward operating base at Oria Stadium.

Quick answer: Fight through Legacy Bridge to free Charlie Squad, use the west control room then the east control room to lower the central span, beat the Boomers past the burning truck, and report to the Quartermaster at Oria Stadium to end the chapter. Five collectibles are scattered along the way.

Bravo Squad walkthrough: Legacy Bridge to Oria Stadium

Once you take control of Marcus, follow Grey and the squad down the street outside City Hall. The area around the base is secured, but orders come through to assist Charlie Squad, who are pinned at the bridge. An armored vehicle blocks the road ahead, so wait for it to move before continuing.

Head up the road toward Legacy Bridge. Locust Drones hold both sides of the crossing, so use the cars and concrete dividers as cover and clear one side before moving across. Keep pushing until a cutscene shows Charlie Squad trapped under fire.

Snipers are set up around the control tower. A red flash appears just before each shot, so break line of sight and move between cover whenever you see it. Advance up to the tower and eliminate the snipers to secure the approach.

Enter the western control room and use the bridge controls. The central span only moves briefly before the mechanism jams, so leave the console once the objective updates. Defend the room against incoming waves, including Locust that crawl in through the windows, and restock from the ammo boxes and weapons inside.

Charlie Squad opens the door on the left to take that flank, so open the door on the right and move up onto the bridge. Climb the access ladder into the overhead sky train to gain high ground, then cover Charlie as you cross and clear the Drones below.

Exit the train on the far side, deal with the remaining enemies, and take the ladder down to the lower deck. Follow the lower catwalks to a staircase, then open the door into the eastern control room.

Use the controls in the eastern control room to finish lowering the central span. Leave the room, take cover, and clear the rest of the bridge. A Boomer carrying a heavy Boomshot appears near the burning truck, so stay at range and pick up its weapon once it drops to deal with the others.

From the burning truck, look right for a door or gate, go through it, and head down the stairs to the lower route. Clear the Locust and Boomers between you and the FOB as you approach Oria Stadium.

Once the area is clear, the objective updates to report to the Quartermaster. Follow the marker to the stadium entrance and interact with the door to trigger the closing cutscene.

All five Bravo Squad collectible locations

There are five collectibles in this chapter. The two control rooms are the easiest to miss, so sweep each one before interacting with the bridge controls.

4	Thrashball Rush Magazine	Inside the eastern control room, in the far corner from the entrance.
5	Medic’s First Aid Kit	On the lower route to the FOB, beside the fallen Gear next to the burning COG truck.

Pick up the Medic’s First Aid Kit before you enter the stadium, since interacting with the door locks you out of the chapter and starts the next one.

How to know the chapter is complete

Bravo Squad ends when you reach Oria Stadium and check in with the Quartermaster. Interact with the stadium door to trigger the closing cutscene, then the game moves directly into Act 2 Chapter 2, Hold the Line. Before continuing, make sure the War Journal shows 5/5 for this chapter to verify you collected everything.
