Stranger in a Strange Land is the second episode of the Asmodian main story in AION 2, picking up after you flee Ishalgen and reach Safe Haven in Altgard. It follows Nemon’s hunt for whoever commissioned the Hugo Mercenaries, a trail that runs through a contaminated Dredgion crash site and ends deep inside a cursed crypt. Every quest is an Episode quest, so clearing the chapter is also the fastest way to level from 10 to 16.
Quick answer: Play 13 Episode quests in order across Altgard, from Finding Nemon at level 10 to Empyrean Monolith at level 16. The chapter grants 734,526 total XP. Start by speaking with Nemon at Shadow Hall.

Getting equipped at Safe Haven (levels 10 to 11)
The chapter opens with three short errands around the village. They exist to kit you out before the dangerous investigation ahead, and to ease the locals’ distrust of outsiders.
Finding Nemon (level 10)
Finding Nemon begins when you arrive at Shadow Hall. The Hugo Mercenaries died attempting to recover the Red Fafnite inside Fafnir Fortress, and Nemon wants to identify who hired them. She offers a deal: you get revenge while she searches for the Fafnite. Ulgorn, unable to see why she is interested in you, suggests pursuing a broker named Brok, who spends time in Altgard. Return the quest to Hans at Safe Haven.
Survival Supplies (level 10)
Survival Supplies is a quick handoff. The land around Safe Haven has been contaminated since the Dredgion crashed, and an ordinary human like Ulgorn cannot survive out there without a neutralizer. Hans sends you to VeKauf for extra supplies, which is the entire task. Go to VeKauf to turn it in. VeKauf is openly suspicious (“For all I know, you could be a Contaminated Karas!”) until Ulgorn vouches for you.

Gathering Essentials (level 10)
Gathering Essentials gives you a damaged Selvis, a device for communicating over long distances. It must be fixed before you depart. VeKauf hands it over, and Markan repairs it. Turn the quest in to Dinoh, who greets you warmly even though you are an outsider and allows you to choose a mount.
Ask Markan to fix the Selvis, then test it by using the device. Dinoh then lets you choose one pet: Fossa, Armadon, or Tog. Any of the three is fine; this is the quest’s sole selectable reward.
The Dredgion Crash Site (levels 11 to 12)
With supplies in hand, the trail leads through the contaminated crash site, where leaking Drakana fuel has mutated the wildlife and cut off the village’s supply routes. Four quests clean up the area while you push toward the broker.
Crash Site Rendezvous (level 11)
Crash Site Rendezvous begins with Dinoh and ends with Ulgorn at Galorik’s Inspection Area. Hadala is anxious because the people sent to collect neutralizer materials never came back, and the herbalist is missing. You gather the materials yourself while avoiding the toxic Drakana Mutants.

Contaminated Area (level 11)
Contaminated Area starts with Ulgorn and ends with Niror at the Temporary Investigation Base. The Daeva posted near the crash have stopped communicating and have not delivered any materials. Keller’s group is secretly keeping the supplies for themselves. Take down the traitors when you confront them, earning Ulgorn’s trust at last.

Express Daeva Delivery (level 12)
Express Daeva Delivery is given and turned in by Ulgorn, at the Temporary Investigation Base and then at Quai Campsite. The crash wrecked the Quai Merchants’ transport wagons and scattered their goods, which the mutants now guard. In the single objective, recover the lost supplies, defeat one Drana Predator, and defeat two Congealed Drana to clear the route. Restoring the road reopens trade with the Shugo Merchants.

Veiled Truth (level 12)
Veiled Truth starts and ends with Ulgorn at Quai Campsite. He intends to take you to the Quai Merchants, Altgard’s largest trading group, in hopes that their connections will turn up information on the broker. Crazed Daeva attack as you arrive at the camp, so defeat them before moving on.

The Nameless Cemetery and the Crypt (levels 13 to 16)
The hunt for Brok moves into the Nameless Cemetery, a place even gravekeepers avoid because it holds the graves of contaminated Karas. These quests also mark your first contacts with Asahr in the Dream of Eternity.
Urgent Pursuit (level 13)
Urgent Pursuit is given by Ulgorn and turned in to Asahr at the Dream Crossroad. Tagar, the gravekeeper, saw the brokers and their masked pursuers cause a scene before scattering. One of Brok’s allies, found among the Karas corpses in a cave, reveals where Brok went. The pursuers turn out to be the Blades, which visibly shocks Ulgorn.

Cemetery Cleanup (level 13)
Cemetery Cleanup starts automatically at the Dream Crossroad and turns in to Tagar at the Gravekeeper Camp. With countless graves to search, your only real option is to win Tagar’s cooperation, and he is famously foul-tempered. You earn his help by tidying the cemetery and recovering relics that grave robbers stole.

Back on the Scent (level 14)
Back on the Scent comes from Tagar and goes to Kolina at the Neglected Crematorium. Tagar’s assistant may have spotted Brok, so you venture farther into the cemetery, where more wandering dead appear. For the single objective, defeat one Lost Specter and two Ancient Revenant Knight, then examine a corpse for Brok’s traces to open the way to the crematorium.

Dead Men Tell No Tales (level 15)
Dead Men Tell No Tales runs from Kolina to Ulgorn in front of the Crypt. Following Kolina’s lead to the far end of the cemetery, you find Brok’s injured companion Wudsson hiding at a dead end. You recover his belongings and try to get him out, but he dies of his wounds. Before dying, he confirms that Brok ran alone into the Crypt.

Buried Atrocities (level 16)
Buried Atrocities is given by Ulgorn in front of the Crypt and turned in to Asahr at the Dream Crossroad. The Crypt is a den of Karas, and Brok is hiding inside. While you interrogate him the entrance seals itself, mutated corpses attack, and the floor collapses, sweeping you away in a surge of water. You meet Asahr in a dream, then wake up in Shadow Hall at Safe Haven.

Start by investigating the Crypt. When the dream draws you in, travel to the Dream Crossroad. Asahr tells you, “Accept this reality. Only then can you become the foundation of a new world.”
Empyrean Monolith (level 16) and chapter completion
Empyrean Monolith brings the chapter to a close. Ulgorn gives the quest at Shadow Hall, and you return it to Nemon there. Brok reveals that the Blood Blades hired him; they are also the group responsible for the Fafnite raid. News then arrives that the Fang Legion has captured a Blade. Before you leave, Nemon directs you to the Altgard Monolith in Safe Haven, where resonating Empyrean Traces earns rewards.

The quest completes when you hand in to Nemon and claim the rewards. Besides the Kina and XP, you receive one Old Mercenary Commander weapon matched to your class, whether that is the Longsword, Greatsword, Dagger, Bow, Spellbook, Orb, Mace, Staff, or Fist. Nemon tells you to keep the amulet for the road ahead, and the story carries straight into Episode 3, You’re in the Palm of Our Hands.
Enhance the Revelation Amulet from Buried Atrocities using the scroll you earn here, since Nemon explicitly recommends upgrading it whenever you can.
