New story, region, and the Inner Threshold

The main story continues with Chapter IV Act IV, Simulacrum of the Heart, which closes the current Xuanfang arc. Clearing it awards an Expedition Motorbike Livery for free, with the Shine of Thousand Lanterns and Return of Longing Heart styles shown.

A new explorable area, the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, opens with the update and introduces the Inner Threshold exploration system built around spatial puzzle traversal. A Tales Quest, Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing, and the exploration quests Tales from the Capsule: Ashen Fox and Days Without Number are also part of the version.

Quality-of-life changes

Main Quest Replay arrives through the Journey Log. At launch you can revisit the Version 1.1 story Thaw of Eons, the Version 1.2 Moon-Chasing Festival story In the Turquoise Moonglow, and Version 1.3: To the Shore’s End. Replay progress saves automatically when you leave and can be resumed or reset manually, with more chapters planned later.

Echo handling has been streamlined. Unequipped Echoes that have not been upgraded stack automatically when their Echo type, Sonata Effect, and Mainstat all match; a backpack slot holds up to 999 Echoes. Stack priority goes to Locked Echoes, followed by Discarded and then Unmarked ones. For Resonators with two modes, Echo Recommendation and Equipment suggestions now vary according to Resonance Mode.

Handheld and Selfie Modes are new camera options, while Tripod Mode now lets you use a more flexible drone viewpoint. Team management accommodates 20 setups, with options to name and reorder them, and supported devices also get 3D Team Setup Mode.

Tiered Client Resource Downloads are also entering a limited test. Eligible PC players can select UHD (96.6GB), HD (77.8GB), or SD (58.2GB); eligible mobile players have HD and SD options. The test is rolling out to a limited group, so the setting won’t be available on every account.

Launch compensation

Rovers whose character was created and Mail feature unlocked before maintenance began receive Astrite x300 and Crystal Solvent x2. The compensation message can be claimed through the next version update. If you haven’t opened it, check your in-game mailbox; that message is the simplest way to verify the update applied correctly to your account.
