By default, Aion 2 hides your equipped weapon whenever you leave combat, so your character stands around empty-handed in towns and out in the field. A single setting changes that, keeping the weapon mounted on your back at all times. For a Gladiator carrying a Greatsword, that means the full blade stays visible while you stand still, run, and explore.

Quick answer: Open Settings, go to the Graphics tab, pick the Camera / Direction sub-tab, scroll to Miscellaneous Effects, and switch Display Weapon Outside of Combat from OFF to ON.

Enable Display Weapon Outside of Combat in Aion 2

Press Esc or click the menu icon at the screen’s right edge to bring up the main menu, then choose Settings (the gear icon).

The setting lives on the Graphics tab under Camera / Direction, not in the combat options. Shown at 00:10 in Sen’s video. Image: NC
Click the Graphics tab along the top of the Settings window, then choose the Camera / Direction sub-tab. This is the same panel that holds camera perspective, view distance, and teleport effect options, so you are in the right place even though the setting is not under Combat.

Scroll down to the Miscellaneous Effects section and find Display Weapon Outside of Combat. Toggle it from OFF to ON, then close the Settings window.

The end result: a character idling in an open area with the weapon kept on the back instead of hidden. Shown at 00:10 in Sen’s video. Image: NC

The change is fully reversible. If you prefer a cleaner look at any point, return to the same toggle and switch it back to OFF.

Confirm the weapon stays visible

Once Settings is closed, you should see the weapon appear on your character’s back immediately, with no need to reload or re-enter the world. Walk or run across the terrain to confirm it stays in place. A Greatsword, for example, sits vertically along the spine and remains there while you move, instead of vanishing the moment you stop fighting.

Greatsword options worth showing off

The Greatsword is the Gladiator’s main weapon, and it is the most visible beneficiary of this setting thanks to its size. If you want the blade on your back to carry real stats as well as presence, these are notable Greatswords and where they come from.

Ludra’s Blade of Extinction is a Unique, tier-4 Greatsword that drops from Eternal Ludra at a 0.56% rate and can also come from the Abyssal Forge: Weapon Selection Chest. Its Max Attack of 604 is the highest value among all 83 Greatswords, shared with the Splendent Ebony Dragon Lord Greatsword and the Splendent Wise Dragon Lord Greatsword. It carries four manastone slots and one theostone slot, and it is bound when obtained.

Holy Spirit Greatsword and Spectral Greatsword share the same item level 41 profile and 239 Max Attack, both earned through quest rewards and field events such as Goldrin’s Treasure and Hidden Lugi. Wisdom Greatsword and Fantasy Greatsword sit a step below at item level 36 with 209 Max Attack, usable from level 30. All four are Unique-grade, bound when obtained, and come with four manastone slots and one theostone slot.

If appearance matters more than stats, you can change the look without changing the blade itself. The Crown Chess (Skin: Greatsword) is a Unique usable item that grants a Greatsword skin and costs 120000 Oath Coin from the coin shop. After purchase, the skin is stored in your Closet, where you apply it to the Greatsword you already have equipped, so your displayed weapon shows the cosmetic you want while keeping its real stats.

With the setting on and a skin applied, whatever Greatsword you carry stays on your back wherever you go, giving your character a consistent look between fights rather than an empty silhouette.

Greatsword Enchant Bonuses and Crafted Dragon Lord Options

Every Greatsword listed here can be enchanted up to +15. Min Attack and Max Attack rise by the same amount at each step, and the size of the bonus depends on the weapon’s item level.

Crafted Dragon Lord Greatswords

Two crafted Greatswords reach the same level 45 requirement as Ludra’s Blade of Extinction without needing a raid drop.

The Ebony Dragon Lord Greatsword and Wise Dragon Lord Greatsword are tier-3 Unique weapons with 557 Max Attack and 411 Min Attack, the second-highest Max Attack among all 83 Greatswords. Each needs Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum Greatsword x1, Artisan’s Ultimate Refining Stone x6, Fine Durable Balaur Horn x41, Wrathful Mind x3, Wrathful Will x3, Wrathful Ego x20, Radiant Orichalcum Ore x15 and Radiant Odyle x9, with a 25% combo chance. Blacksmithing mastery 0 is enough, and they are bound when obtained. Both sell for 91239 Kina.

The Splendent Ebony Dragon Lord Greatsword and Splendent Wise Dragon Lord Greatsword are tier-4 crafts with the same 604 Max Attack and 446 Min Attack as Ludra’s Blade of Extinction. They require Blacksmithing mastery 85 and have an 80.1% base success rate. Unlike the blade, they can be traded until they become soulbound. Each sells for 179393 Kina, against 59720 for Ludra’s Blade of Extinction.

All of these swords have 4 manastone slots and 1 theostone slot, and all share the base stats Block 150, Accuracy 100 and Critical Hit 150.
