Obelisks of Benediction are monuments scattered across the snowy region of Norgan in the Dark Arisen expansion. Each one is tied to a single vocation, and seeking them out lets you buy new weapon skills, claim a permanent stat boost, and trigger a temporary buff that raises your chances of finding rare loot. The benefits apply to both the Arisen and your main pawn.

Quick answer: Norgan holds nine Obelisks of Benediction, one per vocation, and there is no Warfarer obelisk. You can reach every one after finishing the Sage’s Wisdom quest, and you need Offering Flames to unlock their full rewards.

What each obelisk gives you and how to activate it

Every obelisk belongs to one vocation. Walk up to it and you can immediately buy the first form of its weapon skill using Discipline Points, the vocation currency you earn by defeating enemies. Purchases cost either 2,500 or 5,000 Discipline Points. For example, the Fighter’s Whirlwind Strike costs 2,500 and its advanced form Hurricane Strike costs 5,000.

To claim every benefit, bring an Offering Flame. Use one at an obelisk to gain its skill’s advanced version, a lasting stat boost, and a short-lived rare-loot bonus. The stat boost is available only a single time. Without a flame, or if you refuse to use it, you get only the basic skill.

Obelisks do not appear on your map until you physically find them, so you have to track each location down yourself before it is marked.

Where to get Offering Flames

Offering Flames come from the Lost Rite Trials, dungeons that appear across the base game’s map once Dark Arisen is installed. Speak with Captain Brant at the tavern to have him mark the location of the first one. Clearing that dungeon rewards the Proving Ground Compass, which reveals the rest of the Lost Rites on your map.

The first dungeon sits in the Malachite Forest region. Head through a small tunnel off the western road to reach Darkhorde Cave, then take the right-hand path to Devilkin Hollow. Defeat the corrupted monsters behind the glowing purple door to lift its seal and claim the compass. From there you can reach other rites such as Daemons’ Corral east of Vernworth to stock up on more flames.

When you can reach every obelisk

Four obelisks sit in areas open to you as soon as you start exploring Norgan. The remaining five are gated behind story progress. Completing Rumbles in the North opens the western side of Lake Norgan and Pilgrim’s Path. Completing Sage’s Wisdom after that opens the Norgan Snowfield through the Nival Gorge northwest of Valgr Ravine. By the time Sage’s Wisdom is done, all nine are within reach.

Early obelisks near the settlement and Valgr Ravine

Fighter obelisk. This one stands in Valgr Ravine near one of the river crossings, on top of a hill that overlooks the river. It is hard to miss. It grants Whirlwind Strike, a charging flurry of slashes that can end with a knockdown blow, and its advanced form Hurricane Strike.

Mage obelisk. Head directly east of the Norgandian Settlement. To climb up to it, attach a Climbing Hook to the post next to the obelisk. It offers Virtuous Bolt, which adds holy spellshots to your staff skills, along with its upgrade Exalted Bolt.

Thief obelisk. Find it near Rivercave Campground, close to the Mountain Stronghold. Travel north from the campground, take the nearby stairs, and turn back to face the obelisk. Enemies frequently protect the area. The obelisk grants Fanged Schism and the upgraded Fanged Rift.

Archer obelisk. The trail ends at this obelisk near Underhill Passage. Starting at the Thief obelisk, go southwest to an entrance to the Valley Cave System, then take the trail south. In snowy weather, another route is to reach the checkpoint atop the Underhill Passage cave and scale the rock wall. The obelisk grants Falcon Arrow and the upgraded Kite Arrow.

Lake Norgan and Pilgrim’s Path (after Rumbles in the North)

Sorcerer obelisk. Found overlooking the west side of Lake Norgan, close to some Beorcan camps, a Norgan Giant spawn point, and the Abandoned Lakeside Estate. It unlocks Brontide, a returning lightning-whip skill, and the stronger High Brontide.

Warrior obelisk. This one is tucked inside Mad-Lord’s Chapel, a cave you can reach from the Shrine of Wisdom at the end of Pilgrim’s Path. Go up the flight of stairs before the sage and into the cave. Expect a fight with strong enemies before you can use the obelisk. It grants Iron Cleave and its upgrade Steel Cleave.

Norgan Snowfield obelisks (after Sage’s Wisdom)

Mystic Spearhand obelisk. Make your way to the ruined fort beyond Nival Gorge Collapse. Completing a certain main quest makes the route from the gorge floor accessible. The obelisk grants Bataille Twinne, which calls up a shade to fight for you, as well as its advanced form, Bataille Idole.

Magick Archer obelisk. Find it atop a hill in central Norgan Snowfield, east of the chasm and near the Snowslide Pass entrance. It grants Shadebind Bolt, which reduces one target’s movement speed, along with the advanced Shadefetter Bolt.

Trickster obelisk. A Climbing Hook is needed to reach this obelisk, which stands beside a clearing beyond Gagana’s Grotto’s north exit. It is unique in offering three skills: Curing Cloud and its upgrade, along with Diverting Fume and its upgrade, Rousing Aroma.

How to confirm an obelisk is unlocked

Once you touch an obelisk, it is added to your map so you can fast-travel back to it later. After you spend your Discipline Points, the weapon skill appears in your skill list, ready to equip to that vocation. If you offered a flame, the permanent stat enhancement is applied straight away, and the rare-loot buff runs for its temporary duration. Return to each obelisk with a full set of Offering Flames and Discipline Points, and you can finish every vocation’s skill line across Norgan.
