Halden is a character you talk to, not a scroom you catch. He sits by a campfire in Songkeeper’s Grove, the starting area of SCROOMS on Roblox, and the quest that sends you to him gives no waypoint. Here is exactly where his camp is, how to walk there, and what happens when you speak to him.

Quick answer: Halden is in Songkeeper’s Grove, sitting on a log beside a campfire between two red pointed tents, in the grass clearing just below the pond at the foot of the waterfall. Walk up and press E.

Halden’s campfire camp in Songkeeper’s Grove

Halden stays in the starting area. His modest camp has two red, pointed tents and a burning campfire, with a marshmallow stick resting beside the flames. He sits on a log by the fire, shaggy brown-grey hair around his face and a small wind instrument in hand.

Use these landmarks to confirm you are in the right spot:

  • The camp occupies an open grassy clearing below the pond at the waterfall’s foot.
  • A very large grey tree stands directly behind the tents.
  • A red house with a blue roof is across the grass, with a character sitting on its porch.
  • A brief walk east from camp brings you to Oswald the woodcutter’s stacked logs and chopping stump.

Route from the spawn signpost to Halden

From the spawn signpost, head past the right-hand red house and toward the waterfall. The glow of a campfire is already visible in front of it.
Follow the grass bank west, keeping the pond on your right. Stay along the water rather than climbing away from it.
Keep going until the two red tents come into view in the clearing. Halden is the figure seated on the log by the fire, in front of the large grey tree.
Walk up to him until the prompt reading “E Talk” with the name “Halden” appears over his head, then press E.
The E Talk Halden prompt appears over Halden at the campfire between two red tents

If you get turned around on the way, play the Ocarina’s Homeward Melody with the notes A, S, W, A to return to the spawn signpost and start the route again.

What Halden says and what he gives

Halden is Leo’s uncle. Leo is the character near the inn who teaches you to catch scrooms and hands you your first instrument before pointing you toward Halden.

Speak to him and he says: “Go on, lad! Tame some scrooms, lend a hand around the grove. Come find me once you’ve found your feet.” The only reply option is “1. Will do!”. At this point he gives you nothing and shows no “?” marker. He is simply setting the next goal.

The Tamer in Training quest and the level 25 requirement

Talking to Halden progresses the main quest “Tamer in Training,” which you can read in the Quest Log in hotbar slot 4. The quest explains that, with the Ocarina secured, Halden wants you to gain experience by taming scrooms and helping out around the grove, and to see him again once you have reached a set level.

QuestObjectiveRewards
Tamer in TrainingReach level 252,025 XP and 350 Chimes

The objective is “Reach level 25,” so you cannot finish this step at the camp. You level up by taming scrooms and completing tasks in the grove, then return to the same campfire to speak with Halden again once you hit level 25.

How to confirm you reached Halden

You know the visit worked when the “E Talk” prompt reads “Halden” over the seated figure and the dialogue opens with his “Go on, lad!” line. After you choose “1. Will do!”, open the Quest Log and check that “Tamer in Training” sits under Main Quests with the “Reach level 25” objective listed. If that quest is tracked, you have found the right character and taken the next step. From here, the path forward is simply to keep taming scrooms and raising your level until you can return to the campfire.
