Hellraiser Revival: Secret Passage Location and How to Open It

A hidden storage room sits beneath the staircase in the main hall of Hellraiser Revival, and many players walk straight past the switch that opens it. The passage holds a Machete, a Basic Repair Kit, Gunpowder, and several boxes of Pistol and Shotgun Ammo, so it is worth clearing before you touch the central puzzle pedestal.

Quick answer: Finish the dialogue, grab the Ritual Chalice above the fireplace, then press the skull on the wall display shelf. The passage slides open under the staircase.

Make a manual save before you explore off the main story path, so you can reload cleanly if anything goes wrong.

How to open the secret passage under the staircase

The switch only becomes reachable once the scripted conversation ends and you regain free control of the area. Work through the hall in this order.

Finish the dialogue sequence and step back into the main hall. You can move around the room, the balcony, and the garden doors freely once control returns to you.

Head to the fireplace and collect the Ritual Chalice resting on the mantle above it. Use the “F Take” prompt to pick it up and confirm the “+1 Ritual Chalice” notification appears.

Move to the shelving and display unit set against the wall, the one holding assorted artifacts and skulls. Find the sphere-shaped skull object on the shelf and interact with it using the “F Press” prompt.

Watch the wall beneath the staircase. Pressing the skull slides a concealed doorway open directly under the steps. Walk through it into the dim storage room.

Every item inside the secret storage room

Clear the room from left to right. The workbench, the metal shelving, the far cabinet, and the green supply chest each hold something.

The Machete is the one pickup you do not want to skip. It sits on an open cabinet shelf on the far wall and uses a hold prompt to take, then an “Equip F” prompt to ready it as a melee weapon. The green military crate near it carries both Pistol Ammo and Shotgun Ammo, with an extra box of Pistol Ammo on the shelves nearby.

Confirm you cleared the room and what comes next

You know the room is empty when every pickup prompt is gone and your ammo counter has climbed. Grabbing the loose boxes bumps the pistol reserve, so a reading that moved from 14 / 0 up to 15 / 1 after reloading tells you the ammo registered. The Machete also now shows in your weapon slots.

Exit back through the hidden doorway into the main hall and approach the central mechanical pillar in the middle of the room. That pedestal is the next objective. A double lattice door in the hall stays locked until you have the Genesis Configuration puzzle box, so leave it for now and return once you hold that item.
