Prehistoric Farm: How to Get Flying Pets From Clara the Airborne

Reach Level 20, buy a Silver Shovel, and clear Clara's two quests at Sky Spires Island to earn Sky Eggs.

Reach Level 20, buy a Silver Shovel, and clear Clara’s two quests at Sky Spires Island to earn Sky Eggs.

Flying pets in Prehistoric Farm come from Sky Eggs sold by Clara the Airborne, an NPC stationed at Sky Spires Island. Each egg hatches into a winged mount that lets you fly across the map, carry one friend, and enter Sky Races for Coins. Before Clara will deal with you, though, you need to meet a level requirement, own the right shovel, and finish two repeatable quests.

Quick answer: Reach Level 20, buy a Silver Shovel or better, then travel to Sky Spires Island behind Auction Island. Clear Clara’s two quests (20 Pufferfish, 70 Triassic Rocks) and pay 10,000 Coins for one Sky Egg.

Requirements before you start

Clara will not accept your help until you meet every condition below. Gather these first so the quest loop runs without interruption.

  • Level 20 or higher — Clara refuses to hand out quests below this level.
  • Silver Shovel or better — required to break the Triassic Rocks in the second quest.
  • 10,000 Coins — the price Clara charges for each Sky Egg after both quests are done.

You can buy the Silver Shovel from the Shovel Shop on Home Island in exchange for 5x Aquamarine Shards, 8x Red Jasper, and 8,000 Coins. Aquamarine Shards drop from rocks on Cambrian Island, and Red Jasper comes from rocks on Devonian Island.

How to reach Sky Spires Island and find Clara

Sky Spires Island has no marker on the compass, so you have to navigate to it by hand. Head toward Auction Island first, then look for the line of buoys running behind it. Following those buoys takes you straight to Sky Spires Island.

Once you land, leave the docks and walk the straight path toward the center of the island. Clara the Airborne stands in the middle wearing pilot goggles and a scarf. Speak with her to open her quest line.

Clara’s two quests

Clara always gives these objectives in sequence: catch 20 Pufferfish, then break 70 Triassic Rocks. Speak with her after completing each task so she can record your progress and give you the next one.

Catch 20 Pufferfish

Get a fishing rod from Hikomi and bait from Tylo the Fisher. Both NPCs stand on the left side of the docks area on Home Island.
Go to any body of water and try for Good Casts. Since Pufferfish are Rare, Weak Casts won’t catch them, while Perfect Casts favor fish of higher rarity. Mid-range casts offer your best chance.
After catching 20 Pufferfish, return to Sky Spires Island and talk to Clara to log your catch. Next, she assigns the Triassic Rocks task.

Break 70 Triassic Rocks

The rocks sit on Triassic Island, located to the left of Cambrian Island. You need the Silver Shovel or better equipped to break them, which is why it belongs on your prep list.

Dig through 70 Triassic Rocks there, then fly or sail back to Clara at Sky Spires Island to complete the second quest. This unlocks the option to buy your Sky Egg.

Paying for and hatching the Sky Egg

With both quests cleared, choose the Pay the Nest Fund option to spend 10,000 Coins. Clara hands over a Sky Egg, which may be any of the five types. After receiving it, you can talk to her again right away to restart the quest loop and work toward another egg.

Take the egg to Dr. Ivy’s incubators to hatch it. At your Ranch, equip the flying pet and feed it through the Adult stage. Tap the + icon on the screen’s right side, then assign the grown pet as your Partner. Summon it whenever you need to fly around the map.

Collect the Silver Shovel materials ahead of time. Running the quest loop back-to-back is much faster when you are not pausing to farm Aquamarine Shards and Red Jasper mid-grind.

All five flying pets and their egg odds

Five flying pets are available, and each Sky Egg hatches the pet of the same name. Quetzalcoatlus is the fastest of the group but also the rarest, which is why you may need several quest runs before one appears.

Flying petNotes
PterodactylusCommon Sky Egg result
RhamphorhynchusStandard sky mount
TapejaraStandard sky mount
PteranodonStandard sky mount
QuetzalcoatlusFastest; rarest at a 5% egg chance

You will know everything worked when Clara’s dialogue shows both quests marked ready, the Pay the Nest Fund option deducts your 10,000 Coins, and a Sky Egg window appears naming the pet inside. From there the egg behaves like any other at Dr. Ivy’s incubators, and repeating Clara’s loop is the only way to chase the Quetzalcoatlus.
