Rift Fissure Sealed Dungeon Walkthrough in Aion 2 (Altgard)

Clear the three Ru Follower Apparition puzzles, beat the knight spirits, and claim the Hazy Apparition title.

Clear the three Ru Follower Apparition puzzles, beat the knight spirits, and claim the Hazy Apparition title.

Rift Fissure is a solo Sealed Dungeon tucked into the Altgard map, the first major region Asmodian players explore in Aion 2. It is a short cave run built around two floor-tile memory puzzles and one small fight, ending with a lore book that marks the dungeon complete. There is no boss and no gear check beyond the recommended level.

Quick answer: Interact with each Ru Follower Apparition, memorize the blue tiles, step on every blue tile before the 15-second timer ends, defeat the Rift Knight’s Soul spirits between puzzles, then pick up the book to trigger “Sealed Dungeon Complete.”

Where to find Rift Fissure in Altgard

The entrance sits in the Battlescar Mound area of Altgard, just east of Battlescar Mound itself and north-northeast of Mudpipe Cave. Look for the glowing green cavern mouth labelled Rift Fissure Entrance and step inside. The recommended level is 30, and the dungeon is designed for the Asmodian faction.

Elyos players can reach Rift Fissure by teleporting through a Spacetime Rift. When they do, the clear pays out 2,500 Enhancement Stones but skips the Wisdom Stones and Daevanion Crystals that Asmodian runs award.

Rift Fissure walkthrough

Go into the cave and sprint along the entrance passage. Look ahead for the first Ru Follower Apparition, shown as a yellow circle on your minimap. Reach it and interact, then trace the beam of light it casts across the floor.

Stepping onto the beam spawns a 3×3 grid of stepping stones. Some squares glow blue and some glow red. Memorize where the blue squares sit before every tile resets to a neutral outline, then walk across only the previously blue tiles. You have 15 seconds to finish, so fix the pattern in your head before you move.

After the first puzzle clears, move to the next apparition point. A wave of Rift Knight’s Soul spirits ambushes you here. Defeat all of them before continuing. They are the only combat in the run.
Interact with the final apparition to trigger the second light beam. This one reveals a larger 5×5 stepping-stone grid with the same blue-and-red layout.

The second puzzle expands to a 5×5 grid, so note every blue square before the colors reset. Shown at 00:46 in StingKnight’s video. Image: NC
Memorize the blue pattern across the bigger grid, then walk over every blue tile before the timer expires. Stepping onto a red or invalid tile fails the attempt, so plan your path through the blue squares first.

Move forward into the last room and press F to interact with the book on the ground, “Exploring the Ancient City of Ru Vol. 3.” Picking it up ends the dungeon.

How to confirm the clear

Once you grab the book, a “Sealed Dungeon Complete” banner appears with the message that Rift Fissure has ended and a prompt to press the Confirm button to exit. Seeing that banner is your signal the run counted. If the banner does not appear, the final puzzle was not fully cleared, so step back onto the grid and retrace the blue tiles.

Rift Fissure and its Ancient City of Ru counterpart
