Trial of Sigrun Stage 8 is a solo boss fight in Legend of Ymir, set inside an arena called the Inner Chamber. It sits on the Twisted Plateau Bifrost questline and asks a single character to bring down the Valkyrie of Trial Soul inside a strict time window. It is a pure endurance check: no allies, one boss, and a long health pool to grind through.

Quick answer: You can enter Stage 8 only after completing main quest 29-2, Twisted Plateau Bifrost. Inside, defeat the Valkyrie of Trial Soul (465 health bars) within the 10-minute limit to clear it.

How to unlock Trial of Sigrun Stage 8

The stage stays locked until you finish quest 29-2 on the Twisted Plateau Bifrost. Once that is done, the related quest step, 29-3, directs you to challenge the Trial of Sigrun Stage 8 directly. Opening the stage menu shows the entry condition, the clear rewards, and an Enter button.

Clearing Stage 8 then advances the Twisted Plateau Bifrost story to 29-5, which is a repeatable task tracked 0/25.

The Valkyrie of Trial Soul boss fight

Loading into the Inner Chamber triggers a short cutscene where Sigrun sets the fight going with the line, “The trial begins. Step towards your destiny.” From there you are alone with the boss.

The Valkyrie of Trial Soul has 465 health bars to get through before the 10-minute time limit expires. Straight-line lunges close the gap, while broad waves cover an area; stay back and wear down the boss one bar at a time. Even solo, sustained combat can take more than six minutes at a comfortable gear level.

A ranged archer approach circles the arena perimeter, cycling bow skills such as Piercing Arrow, Burst Arrow, Arrow Rain, and Solar Eclipse while weaving in stun traps and binding skills to interrupt the Valkyrie’s charges. Dashes and movement speed potions cover the gap-closers and the wide wave attacks, and potion auto-recovery keeps health topped up through the long middle stretch.

Accuracy matters more than it looks

Even at an Accuracy rating around 3,645, hits on the Valkyrie of Trial Soul can still land as “Miss.” Against a 465-bar health pool on a 10-minute clock, missed attacks are time you cannot afford, so accuracy buffs are strongly worth stacking before and during the fight.

Two consumables cover that directly. Herbane’s Flower adds +100 ACC along with a 10% skill cooldown reduction and status effect resistance for three minutes. Magni’s Special Hunting Draught II layers on +20 ACC plus a block of damage and defense bonuses against monsters for a full 24 hours.

Stage 8 clear rewards

Finishing the trial drops three reward types, weighted toward crafting and summons.

RewardQuantity
Artisan’s Secret Manual (Bound)x1
Superior Crafting Material Selection Chest (Bound)x1
Superior Summon Ticket Selection Chestx5

The Artisan’s Secret Manual is a crafting document used to make higher-grade equipment, which ties the clear into gear progression rather than being a one-off cosmetic payout.

Iron Vitality and the Chapter 28 reward

Chapter 28 hands out an Enhancement Tome: Iron Vitality (Bound), which feeds directly into survivability for a long solo fight like this one. Iron Vitality is a passive skill that raises maximum Health.

At Level 8, Iron Vitality grants +1,836 Health, up from +1,239 Health at Level 7. The upgrade costs 2,000,000 Silver and 88,000 Amber, plus 1 gWEMIX Piece and 1 Enhancement Tome: Iron Vitality.

How you know the trial is cleared

When the Valkyrie’s last health bar empties, a Trial Stage 8 Success banner appears and the reward chests are handed over. Back on the Twisted Plateau, the main quest ticks forward to 29-5, confirming the clear registered. If you drop below the required gear, the risk is running out the 10-minute clock before the final bars fall rather than being blocked at entry.
