Breaking the Ice is the opening mission of the Frozen Terror path in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, dropping Malum Caedo into a snowbound Imperial facility on the world of Amara Mors. It holds eight collectibles, and nearly all of them sit a short detour off the critical path, behind breakable ice, under bridges, or at the top of awkward jumps.

Secrets 1 and 2: the starting platform and first bridge
Secret 1: under the starting platform
You can grab the first Secret before you take a single step forward. From the platform you spawn on, drop off the edge and look underneath the structure. There is a sheltered ledge below with crates and a few cultists, and the Secret sits among them. Clear the enemies, walk onto the pickup, and the counter ticks to 1/7.
If this Secret rewards a Machine Spirit, the upgrade attaches to whatever weapon you are holding when you collect it. Equip the weapon you want improved before you grab it.
Secret 2: under the ramp before the gate
Advance along the bridge walkways until you reach the gate. A switch in the building on your left opens it. Before going through, make for the red ramp just ahead.
Drop off the side of the ramp into the snow-filled crevice beneath the walkway. A cultist guards the pickup. Collect it there and the counter moves to 2/7. Grab it before you go through the gate, or you will have to backtrack.
Secrets 3 and 4 and the Purity Seal: the bridges and guard towers
Secret 3: the red symbol side room
Keep pushing until you cross the first major bridge and reach the open area with a large red Chaos symbol on the wall ahead. Before the gates, drop down to the platform on the right and follow the exterior snowy ledge into the building on the left. Inside sits the Secret, marked by the red symbol. Collect it to update the counter to 3/7.
Secret 4: beneath the metal bridge
On your right, you’ll reach a damaged metal bridge with a guard tower at each side. Keep to the bridge’s right edge, go beyond the second tower, then carefully drop onto the scaffolding below. The Secret is among the metal platforms; collecting it updates the counter to 4/7.
Purity Seal: inside the last guard tower
The mission’s only Purity Seal is tied to this same area, and it takes two steps. While you are under the bridge near Secret 4, find the green glowing vent or switch on the ceiling and activate it to open a hatch above.
Then climb the snowy rocks and platforms to get back up to the guard towers. Get onto the roof of the tower on your right, jump across the tops of the towers, and drop down through the opened hatch of the last one, the first tower you passed when you entered the area. The Seal is inside, and collecting it also grants +50 Boltgun ammo.
If the rooftop jumps are giving you trouble, clear the area of enemies first so you can line up each leap without taking fire.
Secrets 5 and 6: the Purge arena caves
Further along, you slide down an ice chute and land in a large blood-filled chamber where a Purge wave triggers. Survive it, and two caves flank the locked red Sigma door at the far end. Each one hides a Secret.
Secret 5: cave left of the red door
Enter the cave on the left side of the red Sigma door and keep moving along the bloodied passage until it ends. At the end, collect Munitions Boon: Lock and Load! to bring the counter to 5/7.
Secret 6: cave right of the red door
Use the cave on the Sigma door’s right. Climb the snowy projections along the cave wall, moving from ledge to ledge until you reach the upper rock shelf. The Grenade Boon is waiting there; collecting it raises the counter to 6/7.
Secret 7: the third canyon cave
Back outside, you move through a snowy canyon where enemies pour out of openings in the left wall. Keep going until you can count three cave entrances on the left. Enter the third cave on the left to find a hidden Missile Launcher, with its ammo topped off. Picking it up completes the set at 7/7.
With all seven Secrets and the Purity Seal in hand, every collectible on Breaking the Ice is accounted for, and you can carry on along the Frozen Terror path knowing nothing was left behind.
