Penny Bun is a common Springlands mushroom that sharpens the mind and increases magic damage. Five grow together just beyond the walls of a starting base north of Braelyn Bridge, letting you gather the entire cluster on foot without leaving the area.

Quick answer: Leave your base through the northern perimeter, then work northeast across the rocky ledge, the stone road, and the woods toward the Elixir Well. Five Penny Buns sit along that short loop.

Penny Bun route north of Braelyn Bridge

All five mushrooms grow on ground foliage and rocky slopes directly north and northeast of Braelyn Bridge. Each one shows an E Pick or E Harvest prompt when you stand on it. Follow the loop in order so you do not backtrack.

Leave the base settlement by its north side, pass the flame altar, and go beyond the fortified walls. The first Penny Bun is in the grass outside the wooden palisade, right at the foot of the wall.

From the wall, scramble northeast up the adjacent rocky ledge. The second Penny Bun grows among the stones and low brush on the slope.
Drop back down and cross the paved stone road, continuing northeast into the trees. Pick the third Penny Bun off the forest floor among the grass.

Make your way east-northeast through the forest, heading for the Elixir Well. Along the route, the fourth Penny Bun is near tree roots.

Walk northeast and uphill into the open clearing. The fifth Penny Bun grows on the grassy slope, completing the loop.

You will know each pick registered when the item drops into your inventory and the on-ground mushroom disappears. The first time you harvest one, the Penny Bun Seedling recipe unlocks at the Seedbed, which lets you grow your own supply later.

What Penny Bun does when eaten

Eaten raw, a Penny Bun grants +3% Magic Damage for 600 seconds. It stacks up to 20 per inventory slot and is classed as a common item. The effect is small on its own, which is why most players cook it into stronger food or roll it into a Health Potion.

Penny Bun recipes and their effects

Penny Bun feeds into several consumables across the campfire, Cooking Station, Kitchen, and Alchemist. Here is how the cooked and crafted results compare, so you can decide what to do with the five you just picked.

Grilled Penny Bun is the quickest upgrade. One mushroom at the Cooking Station takes 30 seconds and doubles the raw magic damage bonus while extending the timer to 20 minutes. The Health Potion is the other easy win early on, combining a Penny Bun with Purple Berries and Water at the Alchemist for an instant 200 HP restore.

The Kitchen dishes ask for more ingredients but last far longer. Mushroom Omelette runs for 2400 seconds and pairs its magic damage boost with health regeneration, while Creamy Mushroom Spaetzle swaps the magic bonus for a melee build and the longest timer of the group.

Grab more than five if you plan to batch-cook. The Kitchen recipes consume Penny Buns in bulk, and seeding a farm from a single harvested mushroom removes the need to run this loop again.
