Where Winds Meet: Missing Date Pits Walkthrough (Seedling Temple Part 1)

Missing Date Pits is a short Wandering Tale in the Seedling Temple Part 1 line, set around the Seedling Temple shrine in Qingzhou-Eastern Peak. It asks you to save a pilgrim from bandits, then replace a basket of jujubes he was carrying to Master Daojue.

Quick answer: Fast travel to Seedling Temple, defeat the Greenwood Marauders attacking Zhang Huixing, buy a Basket of Qingzhou Jujubes from Yu Yao for 10 coins, collect the Scattered Date Pits nearby, then hand the basket back to Zhang Huixing.

Where Missing Date Pits starts

The tale is filed under Seedling Temple Part 1 inside the Wandering Tales tab of the Exploration menu. Its first clue points you to the area just around Seedling Temple, west of Wellspring Town in the Qingzhou-Eastern Peak region. You begin by teleporting straight to the shrine, so there is no lead-up NPC to find elsewhere on the map.

Missing Date Pits walkthrough

Open the Exploration menu, pick the Wandering Tales tab, and select Missing Date Pits under Seedling Temple Part 1. Use fast travel to drop in at the Seedling Temple shrine.

From the shrine, follow the waypoint south and southwest toward the riverbank. A treasure chest sits on a rock ledge along this path, so grab it on the way if you want the extra loot.

At the water’s edge you will find a pilgrim surrounded by Greenwood Marauder bandits. Defeat the bandits to free him.

Speak to Zhang Huixing once the fight ends. He explains that his basket of Qingzhou jujubes, meant for Master Daojue, was lost during the ambush, which sets the next objective.

Travel northeast to the temple’s perimeter wall, where vendor Yu Yao rests against a tree. Speak with him and choose “Pay 10 coins” to get another Basket of Qingzhou Jujubes.

Move a short way southwest into the wooded grass near the marsh edge. Interact with the Scattered Date Pits on the ground to collect the Basket of Jujube Pits.

Find Zhang Huixing again beside the water. Open the Give menu and select the Basket of Qingzhou Jujubes; complete the dialogue to bring the tale to a close.

How to confirm the tale is complete

After the final dialogue, a “Wandering Tales / Missing Date Pits / Ending Unlocked” notification appears and Zhang Huixing leaves. Open the Exploration menu again and the entry under Seedling Temple Part 1 will show as Completed, confirming the rewards have landed.
