In Qingzhou, Fulfilling the Vow appears in Wandering Tales as part of Seedling Temple: Part 2. The short story follows pilgrim Huang Bin, hunched outside the temple after receiving the worst possible exam fortune and misplacing the prayer note he wrote. Track down the note and find out who can redraw his fortune; the tale takes only a few minutes.
Quick answer: Start by speaking with Huang Bin outside Seedling Temple. Retrieve the Faded Note beside the steps at the wooden fence and return it to him; then speak with Shi Lifeng between 2 PM and 6 PM to have Huang Bin’s fortune drawn again.
Buddha and the Cat decides where you meet the fortune-teller
Before the final step, check the Qingzhou section of your Encounter Journal for Buddha and the Cat. This encounter quest determines which ending the tale takes.
If Buddha and the Cat is already cleared, the old master appears in the central temple courtyard between 2 PM and 6 PM.
If it is not cleared, head into the side hall off the courtyard to find Shi Lifeng in the same time window.
If the tale refuses to start or will not register as finished, the encounter prerequisite is the cause. Clear Buddha and the Cat first, then return to Seedling Temple and run the steps again.
Use the world map to travel to the Seedling Temple Landmark in Qingzhou Eastern Peak. You’ll arrive on the temple grounds, at the peaceful refuge formerly known as Jujube Pit Temple.
From the spawn point, walk south toward the trees beside the temple entrance. Huang Bin is sitting on the grass. Speak with him and hear him out. He prayed for exam success, drew the worst fortune, and then lost the prayer note he had written.
Outside the temple building, inspect the wooden fence enclosure beside the stone steps. At the sparkling spot on the ground, activate Investigate to collect the Faded Note—the paper Huang Bin dropped, with his wish written on it.
Return to Huang Bin and choose Give to hand him the Faded Note. Hear him out in the following dialogue: he says exams have weighed on him since childhood, and he came here to make his parents proud.
Go up the temple stairs, then follow the route that fits your quest status. If Buddha and the Cat is still uncleared, enter the side hall from the courtyard and locate Master Daoist Shi Lifeng in the altar room.
Talk to him and pick the options about drawing a fortune on Huang Bin’s behalf. Keep the conversation going until he rewrites the slip and tells you to take it. That closes out the tale.
When the conversation ends, the game displays Wandering Tales: Fulfilling the Vow: Ending Unlocked, then shows the reward summary. The banner confirms that the tale registered. Afterward, open the Exploration menu; the tale appears as Completed under Seedling Temple: Part 2.
If you didn’t see the ending banner, leave and clear the Buddha and the Cat encounter first, then repeat the Seedling Temple steps. Once Huang Bin has his note back and Shi Lifeng has changed his fortune, no further tasks remain.
