Flame Level 11 is the last Flame tier in Enshrouded, and reaching it lets your Flame Altars push back the Shroud and raises your Altar cap. You strengthen the Flame at any Flame Altar, but the final upgrade sits behind Cinder’s Cradle content and the game’s last boss, so the materials are late-game and the counts are steep.

Flame Level 11 requirements at the Flame Altar

At the Flame Altar, select Strengthen the Flame and move down the Upgrade Requirements list. Its header reads “Flame Level 10 → 11”; each row compares your current amount with the required amount, and lists the source beneath the item name. You need to meet all eight requirements.

“FLAME LEVEL UP 11” confirms it worked. The menu previews the change above the list: Shroud Removal goes from No to Yes, Altar activation capacity rises from 15 to 16, Shroud Passage Level moves to 11, and your Character Attribute bonus goes from 9 to 10.

Finish Flame Level 10 first

Level 11 only appears after Level 10. The Level 9 → 10 screen asks for a different set, mostly tied to Veilwater Basin, and completing it finishes the “Crown Of Sorrow” quest. You need these before the Level 11 list becomes available.

The Broken Guard Of The North Crown is beside the throne in the Cromville Throne Room, in northern Veilwater Basin. Ride an updraft to glide over the gorge and reach it. At night, gather Gleam Root from the shallow water by Starfish Shores, then use a powered Mill to grind it into Gleam Root Dust. The Mill needs power from a windmill or a waterwheel. Each Gleam Root Dust takes 3 minutes at default production speed (1:30 with faster production settings).

Drak Blood drops from enemies in the Veilwater Basin. Shroud Sludge is made at the Alchemist with the Mortar upgrade from 5 Shroud Slime, 5 Shroud Gelatin and 5 Pink Mushroom Meat. Daylily grows in the Veilwater Basin; orange Daylily plants stand beside the tents at Queen Jezmina’s Camp, opposite Starfish Shores, close to Little Lagoon and Cromville Hot Spring.

Where each Level 11 material comes from

Survivors (18)

The line counts only survivors who have a Sheltered Bed assigned inside your base. Assign all 18 beds before you open the menu, since unassigned survivors do not count toward the total.

Spark (20)

At a Flame Shrine, select “Commune with the Flame” to gain Spark. Shrine locations are marked on the world map; those in Veilwater Basin are near the Cinder’s Cradle route. Your World Settings determine how much Spark each shrine gives.

Celestium Bars (10)

Smelt Celestium Bars in a Blast Furnace. Each batch takes 20 Celestium Ore and 40 Coal. Mine Celestium Ore with a pickaxe from glowing veins — there is a small cave on the “Island Ruin” floating island in Cinder’s Cradle — and the large golden jars in Cinder’s Cradle can also drop the ore.

Moonstone (15)

In Cinder’s Cradle, smash oversized urns and jars with a pickaxe, mine the Moonstone nodes on walls beside the ruins, or defeat the large automata. Their drops may include Moonstone, Archaic Shards, and Gold Coins.

Diamond Dust (20)

Look through the wreckage in Cinder’s Cradle to find Diamonds, then take them to a Mill for grinding. Each Diamond Dust uses 1 Diamond and takes 3 minutes at default production speed, so the full requirement calls for 20 Diamonds.

Ember Carapace (15)

In Cinder’s Cradle’s lava wilderness, Cinder’s Plains, level 48 scorpions drop Ember Carapace. Ride the updrafts to glide in—press Space when the “Updraft” prompt appears—then attack the scorpions from range.

Vorgoth’s Bound Essence and Vorgoth’s Eye

Vorgoth, Champion of the Shroud, drops both items, so you must face the final boss before upgrading. One kill provides the menu’s one of each, and can leave extra Bound Essence, which is also used for Vorgoth’s Armor.

Item level, rarity, stack size and how each material is made. Crafting times are at the default production speed; worlds with faster production settings shorten them (the Mill then shows 1:30 for a 3-minute recipe).

Moonstone’s item text explains why it turns up around ruins rather than ore fields: “No one has ever cut one from rock — only found where the Ancients have passed.”

What changes at Flame Level 11

Flame Level 11 turns on Shroud Removal, so your Flame Altars push back the Shroud around them, and it adds a 16th Flame Altar. That extra slot is useful for a resource outpost, a fast-travel point, or a base in terrain that was previously off-limits.

The Flame Altar’s Strengthen the Flame screen lists the requirements for raising the Flame from Level 10 to 11.

Defeating the boss does not instantly remove every Shroud area. Even after the upgrade, red Deadly Shroud remains visible on the world map at the edges of explored territory, including near undiscovered Shroud Roots. Set up inside an Altar’s protected area instead of assuming all hazards will disappear.
