BO7 Zombies: How to Get the Wrestling Belt Relic in Totenreich

Grab the Mr. Peeks magazine, take 18 weapons to 50 kills each, then clear a four-wave trial in Eidskallen Square.

The Wrestling Belt was the last relic in Black Ops 7 Zombies that nobody had unlocked. It was finally solved on October 16th, 169 days after Totenreich launched. There is no hidden switch or puzzle behind it. The unlock is a long kill grind that starts with a magazine most players walked past for months. The in-game banner calls it the Wrestler’s Belt, so expect to see both names.

Quick answer: In Cursed Mode, collect the Mr. Peeks magazine before claiming the Jotunn Star. Score 50 kills with each of the 17 wall-buys and with the Jotunn Star. Go through the portal beside the Arsenal and finish its four waves.

Wrestling Belt Relic requirements

The magazine that starts the unlock only appears when every one of these conditions is met. If any of them is missing, nothing you do later in the match counts.

  • You are playing on Totenreich.
  • The match is on any tier of Cursed Mode. The magazine never spawns in standard mode.
  • You have already completed the Totenreich main Easter Egg on your account.
  • You finish the whole run in one session, with no save-and-quit partway through, to avoid kill-tracking bugs.

A smooth solo run takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. A squad can finish much faster by splitting the weapon list between players.

How to unlock the Wrestling Belt in Totenreich

Follow the Jotunn Star weapon quest as usual, stopping when you arrive at the top of Beacon Island’s lighthouse. The weapon is waiting there, but leave it uncollected for now.
Pick up the Mr. Peeks magazine from the box (weapon crate) to the left of the Jotunn Star. The cover shows Mr. Peeks holding a Geiger counter. You get no sound, no on-screen cue, and nothing new appears on the map. The pickup simply starts 18 hidden kill counters.
Collect the Jotunn Star and leave the lighthouse. From this point on, kills with the wonder weapon count toward its own 50-kill total.
Purchase the 17 wall-buy weapons from their chalk outlines and score 50 kills with each. Choose any order, moving on to another gun once the current one reaches 50 kills.
After collecting the magazine, get 50 kills with the Jotunn Star whenever you like. Do them first or save them for last; the order has no effect on the counter.
Go to Eidskallen Square once all 18 counters reach 50. Use the portal on the wall next to the Arsenal to start the relic trial.

If you take the Jotunn Star before the magazine, the magazine is gone for the rest of that game. You will need to start a new match.

All 17 Totenreich wall-buys (plus the Jotunn Star)

Every gun below needs 50 kills. That works out to at least 900 kills across 18 weapons. Costs shown are the Uncommon wall prices.

You cannot walk to the three secret-room weapons. You only reach them by leaving Tyr’s Head and landing a random teleport into one of those rooms, and you get two Tyr’s Head entries per round. Because that part depends on luck, start working on these three early.

Sniper rifles and weaker guns are easiest to finish in the low rounds, while zombie health is still low. Save points for Pack-a-Punch so the later weapons keep up as rounds get harder.

Which kills count toward the 50

The counters only accept direct weapon kills on guns that came from the right place. Most failed runs come down to one of these rules.

Kill sourceCounts?
Wall-bought weapon, after the magazineYes
Pack-a-Punched or rarity-upgraded wall weaponYes
Kills during ice roundsYes
Any kill before the magazine pickupNo
Same gun from the Mystery Box, your loadout, or a teammateNo
Ammo Mods (Elemental Pop, Dead Wire, Napalm Burst)No
Equipment, field upgrades, traps, Mr. PeeksNo
Underbarrel attachmentsUnreliable, avoid

Ammo Mod kills count toward the mod, not the weapon. With Elemental Pop active, stopping at exactly 50 may leave you a few kills short, so get extra kills before changing weapons. Players have also reported that the Shadow SK’s underbarrel shotgun kills fail to register. Use the base gun instead.

In co-op, all 50 kills for a given weapon must come from one player. Different players can take different weapons. If one squadmate leaves a gun at 40, though, the portal stays locked for the whole lobby.

How to confirm your kill counts and find the portal

Ignore the kill feed. Press Select to open the scoreboard and check the Weapon Stats tab. It lists eliminations for every weapon you are carrying in the current match, including the wonder weapon.

Once your last weapon scores its 50th kill, Mr. Peeks lets out a laugh, signaling that all 18 counters are filled. A green relic portal appears on the wall beside the Arsenal in Eidskallen Square; the fish trap is on one side, and the MPC-25 wall-buy is on the other.

Wrestling Belt relic trial: four waves, no keeping your guns

Use the portal to begin a Grim trial. A warning explains that your equipped relics are disabled for the trial. Its sole modifier is: every wave ends with all weapons being removed. The trial runs for four waves, some of which feature HVTs.

  • Go in with plenty of Essence to rebuy and Pack-a-Punch weapons after every wave.
  • The Echo 12 from Eidskallen Landing is a cheap, strong pick to rebuy each wave.
  • Craft the War Machine or Hand Cannon at the Arsenal to quickly kill HVTs.
  • Drop your Pack-a-Punched gun before a wave ends so it is not taken, then pick it back up.

Clearing the fourth wave shows a “TRIAL COMPLETE! WRESTLER’S BELT” banner. You also get the Elemental Exposure GobbleGum and 1,000 XP. The belt then appears in the Cursed Mode relic selection screen, so you can equip it in future runs. Finishing all 30 relics also unlocks the Best Friends camo.

What the Wrestling Belt does in Cursed Mode

The relic’s card reads “Weapon Wallbuys randomize each round.” Every wall-buy on the map changes to a random weapon at each round transition. That can include guns the map normally never sells, such as the Akita. It is a Grim relic, the lowest tier, and fills one-third of a tier bar when equipped.

This offers a low-cost way to advance the Cursed Mode reward bar: Tier 1 grants Golden Armor, Tier 2 gives Ultra weapon rarity, and Tier 3 unlocks Pack-a-Punch IV. If you’ve already unlocked Mister Peeks Mayhem through the Super Easter Egg, you can reach Tier 3 without the belt. Otherwise, you’ll lose the fixed wall-buy locations, something most runs can easily do without.
