Make Rugs Thursday Patch: Schedule, Start Times & Next Countdown
Make Rugs, Playmade’s rug-crafting tycoon on Roblox, ends every week the same way: with a Thursday Patch. It is the game’s standing update slot, a batch of new features, quality-of-life tweaks, and fixes that the developer ships at 5:00 PM ET each Thursday. With more than about 3,400,000 visits to date and a crowd of around about 11,000 people crafting rugs at any given moment, these weekly drops are how the game keeps pace with its players.
The Thursday Patch is not a one-off release but a repeating rhythm you can plan around. Each week brings its own list of additions, so the page below leads with what the most recent patch delivered. The next start time and the usual slot are on the card below.

How often the Thursday Patch lands
The cadence is weekly: a patch each Thursday, timed to 5:00 PM ET. The developer runs it at a single moment rather than staggered slots, so players everywhere arrive to the same build at once. Because 5:00 PM in New York falls at very different hours around the world, here is roughly when that is in the major regions:
- US East (ET): 5:00 PM Thursday
- US West (PT): 2:00 PM Thursday
- UK: around 10:00 PM Thursday
- Central Europe: around 11:00 PM Thursday
- India (IST): around 2:30 AM Friday
- Japan (JST): around 6:00 AM Friday
- Sydney (AET): around 8:00 AM Friday
The next date on the schedule is Thursday, October 22 at 2 PM ET.
What the latest Thursday Patch added
Each patch mixes new systems, convenience features, and seasonal content. The most recent one leaned heavily into automation and management quality of life, alongside Halloween dressing. Highlights that went live:
- A light/dark mode toggle for the interface
- Apprentices that prioritise active orders, and the option to assign them to finishing work
- Cabinet improvements: labels, upgrades, and yarn stacking up to three deep
- Auto Roll and reworked luck values
- Offline rewards that accrue while you are away
- Clearer indicators for stamped yarn, plus a run of permanent Halloween stamps and designs
- Showroom appeal adjustments
The developer also flagged items in the pipeline for upcoming Thursdays, including a Rug Cabinet in the Showroom, backpack and order-yarn indicators, a higher maximum yarn capacity, and settings for yarn runners. Those are not live yet, but they signal the direction of the next few patches.
Tips for catching it
Pick the slot that fits your day: it is an after-school or after-work time in the Americas and a late evening in Europe, while players in Asia and Australia will catch it the following morning. If the hour is awkward, there is no rush — the patch stays in the game, and another one follows the next Thursday on the same cadence. Setting a weekly reminder for the ET time keeps you in step with each drop as it goes live.
How it fits the game’s rhythm
The Thursday Patch is the steady weekly heartbeat between Make Rugs’ larger moments. Bigger content beats sit around it — the Showroom Expansion is running now, and a broader Update 2 is on the horizon — but the Thursday cadence is what readers can set their clock by. Think of the expansions as the headline features and the Thursday Patch as the weekly stream of refinements that keeps them polished.
