Everything you need to gather 100 Holy Grails and forge Excalibur at the top of the Jotunheim tower.

Excalibur is the craftable sword introduced with the Broken Blade Excalibur update, and it carries some of the strongest abilities in the game. There is no drop or purchase shortcut. You assemble it yourself by collecting a large stack of a single material and bringing it to the right crafting station.

Quick answer: Gather 100 Holy Grails, then craft Excalibur at the station on top of the tower in Jotunheim.

What Excalibur costs to craft

The only crafting requirement is Holy Grails, and you need 100 of them. That high count is what makes Excalibur one of the rarest blades to obtain. Once the material is in your inventory, the craft itself is quick.

Where to farm Holy Grails

Holy Grails come from the Sky Spire challenge mode. The material starts dropping from Floor 41 onward, and the chance increases as you climb higher into the tower.

Floor rangeHoly Grail drop chance per cleared floor
Floor 41 to 6029.6%
Floor 61 onward38.61%

Sky Spire is a 100-floor mode, so a full run gives you many rolls at the material. Each floor costs one Sky Key to attempt, which means a start-to-finish clear needs at least 100 Sky Keys. Aim for around level 14,700 to push through the mode comfortably, and a weapon like the Dragon Slayer makes the climb easier.

Alternate Holy Grail source: Holy Chests

You can also pull at least one Holy Grail from a Holy Chest in Jotunheim. The trick is to cycle the starter quest until the featured reward becomes a Holy Chest.

Open the starter quest in Jotunheim and check its featured reward. If it is not a Holy Chest, decline it.
Repeat the accept-and-decline loop until the featured reward switches to a Holy Chest.
Complete the quest. It is short and takes about a minute, making it an easy way to add Holy Grails on the side while you farm Sky Spire.

Craft Excalibur in Jotunheim

Confirm you are holding 100 Holy Grails in your inventory before heading to the crafting station.
Travel to Jotunheim and climb to the very top of the tower, where the crafting station sits.
Craft Excalibur. To get the most out of it, infuse the blade with two Holy and two Flames.

You will know it worked when Excalibur appears as a usable sword in your inventory and your Holy Grail count drops by 100. If the craft will not start, the most common reason is simply not having the full 100 Holy Grails on hand.

Climb to the top of the tower and craft Excalibur.

How Excalibur compares

Excalibur is one of the strongest weapons in Broken Blade, but it is not the absolute top pick for raw damage. The Dragon Slayer still edges it out on DPS, which is also why the Dragon Slayer remains a reliable tool for clearing Sky Spire while you farm. The sword arrived with the Excalibur update on May 29, 2026.
