Beorcan Stronghold sits in Norgan’s frozen battleground, and the route into the cavern beneath it runs through the fortress ruin rather than straight down from the surface. You start in the lower stone corridors, work your way up to the snow-covered ramparts, and then descend a shaft ladder that drops you into the ice-filled chamber below.
Quick answer: Enter the lower stone archway and climb the stairs, push through the reinforced double doors, turn right along the snowy rampart, then drop down the ladder in the square floor opening to reach the cavern.
Route to the underground cavern at Beorcan Stronghold
The path begins inside the stronghold’s lower stone passages, beneath the broken archway with hanging icicles. Follow these steps in order.

You have reached the underground when you drop into the cavern filled with crystalline stalagmites. From here the stone corridors branch out into the chambers below the stronghold.

Beorcan Stronghold is a named place on Norgan’s frozen battleground, part of the Dark Arisen content. Expect combat as you move through the ruins and the cavern, so carry healing supplies before you descend. The two enemies worth knowing here are the Beorcan warriors that patrol the fortress and Fimbl, the dragon tied to the region’s storm.
| Enemy | Type | Experience | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Beorcan | Humanoid | 3,800 (7,800 strongest) | Drops gold, arrows, salves and supplies |
| Fimbl | Draconic | 82,000 (up to 110,000) | Weak to fire, resistant to ice, immune to Frostbite |
The extreme cold around the stronghold drains your stamina, so bring Heatstones if you have them before heading in.
Clearing the blizzard first
The constant snowstorm cuts visibility across the stronghold and makes the rampart ladder hard to spot. Defeating Fimbl ends the storm and makes the whole area far easier to navigate afterward. If the blizzard is making the route hard to follow, returning once Fimbl is down removes that obstacle entirely, though you can complete the climb during your first visit if you move carefully along the wall.
