Meow Meows are the clothed, magical cats scattered across the Jianghu in Where Winds Meet. Each one hands you a small puzzle or timed challenge, and clearing it pays out a Bell currency you can spend for rewards at a Meow Meow temple. They appear in both the Qinghe and Kaifeng regions, with puzzle types that carry over and a few new ones unique to each area.
Quick answer: Open your map, select the Meow Meow filter in the map key, and travel to each pin below. Complete the listed task at each spot to earn the Bell currency, then trade Bells at the Meow Meow temple in Qinghe (northwest, near Buddha’s Light Peak) or Kaifeng (the underground Ghost Market).
How Meow Meow puzzles work
You can pin Meow Meow locations directly on your map. Each cat presides over one challenge, and every puzzle includes a clue that points to what you need to do. Most are quick, though a few require a specific skill or a bit of trial and error.
Your first encounter comes early, in a cave-like alcove at the exit of the General’s Shrine. That introductory puzzle just asks you to find a missing statue and return it to its spot. An NPC there named Fu Lubao is hunting for a Meow Meow bell. If you obtain a bell and then refuse to give him one, he turns hostile and attacks.

Kaifeng Meow Meow locations
Kaifeng keeps the wisp collection, and cat chases from Qinghe and adds new puzzle types, including the Shadow Chase, Ring the Bell to Pray, Weigh It scales, and Dye Vat color mixing. Trade your Bells at the temple inside the underground Ghost Market.
Shadow Chase
You must run, jump, and climb through fiery blue checkpoints in order. You have to pass through each previous checkpoint to reach the next one, so doubling back usually forces a restart. Press the left stick (controller) or G (keyboard) to leap to the next checkpoint.

Ring the Bell to Pray
Read the stone tablet by the cat to decipher the inscription, then use your bow to shoot the cat-faced bells. The bells always sit somewhere around the Meow Meow.

Dye Vat mixing and Cat Chase
Dye Vat puzzles ask you to combine the right two dyes to hit a target shade. The Cat Chase carries over from Qinghe and gives you one minute to follow and catch the cat.

How to confirm a puzzle is done and claim rewards
You know a challenge worked when the Meow Meow rewards you with the Bell currency on completion, and the pin checks off on your map. If a timed puzzle fails, the usual causes are running out of time, doubling back past a checkpoint on a chase, or stepping into poisonous mist before clearing it.
Once you have a handful of Bells, head to a Meow Meow temple to spend them. Qinghe’s temple sits in the northwest near Buddha’s Light Peak, and Kaifeng’s is tucked inside the underground Ghost Market. Bells from these puzzles are the only way to unlock the rewards waiting there, so it pays to clear every cat you pass.
