The Sewer Key in Sell Lemons opens a locked Sewer Gate that hides the Cosmic Cash Vine, a repeatable income node you can harvest every four hours for a random pile of Cash. Getting the key has nothing to do with money. It comes down to flipping a set of colored levers inside the sewer maze in one precise order, then walking to the spot where the key appears.

Quick answer: Inside the sewers, pull the Blue lever, the Red lever, then the Green lever. Unpull the Red lever, then the Blue lever. Pull the Purple lever, then pull the Red lever again. Grab the Sewer Key, open the Sewer Gate, and harvest the Cosmic Cash Vine once to earn the Cosmic Farmer Badge.

Reset the levers before you start

The sewer levers share the same maze used for the UFO Key. If you already flipped switches while chasing the UFO Key and Good Samaritan Badge, some levers may be sitting in the wrong position and will block your run. Hop into a fresh server so every lever returns to its default state before you begin.

One more rule about leaving. If you exit the game partway through the puzzle, the levers reset and you start over. Stay in the same session until the key is in your inventory. To move between levers faster, you do not have to walk back through the maze. Respawn or teleport to the surface, then drop back down through any manhole.

Where to find the sewer entrance

The sewers sit below the map. Step onto any manhole cover in the middle of the main street to drop into the underground network. Every manhole leads to the same maze where the levers and the Sewer Gate are located. Once inside, head toward the middle of the sewers near the leaderboards. That spot works as a central reference point and makes the lever routes easier to follow.

The order matters, and steps four and five require switching levers back off. Skipping a step or doing one out of order leaves a door closed, so follow the table exactly.

Step-by-step lever route

Pull the Blue lever first. Enter the Northeast Maze next to the green message and take the right path. Continue to the split in the path and take the second right turn.

Follow the path until you spot a red line on the left side, then turn into the path immediately after that red line. Keep going until you reach the Blue lever and pull it. After activating it, respawning is faster than retracing the whole maze.

Pull the Red lever next. Head to the Southwest Maze, which sits just opposite the Cosmic Cash Vine. Enter and follow the path on the right, then turn left and keep going left until you reach the Red lever. This is the easiest switch to find.

Pull the Green lever, the trickiest of the three. Enter the Southeast Maze and follow the main path forward. At the first opening on the right, turn right, then continue until you see the blue and yellow floor lines.

At the intersection right after those colored lines, turn right and follow the winding path forward. Continue straight through the next corridor, turn left at the dead end, and keep going until you reach the large open section near the leaderboard. Move into the corridor straight ahead, and the Green lever waits at the end. Pull it.

Go back and unpull the Red lever using the Step 2 route. Flipping it back off opens the path toward the final Purple lever, so this step matters even though it undoes an earlier pull.

Unpull the Blue lever next, following the Step 1 route back. With both the Red and Blue levers switched off, the corridor leading to the Purple lever becomes accessible. Teleport to your base afterward.

Pull the Purple lever. Enter the Northwest Maze through the opening in the tunnel area and take the first right. At the dead end, turn right and keep going past the yellow floor line. Turn left at the next dead end and follow the path to its end to find and pull the Purple lever.

Pull the Red lever one last time using the Southwest Maze route. This opens the red door that leads directly to the Sewer Key, so you do not need to respawn before the next step.

Collect the Sewer Key

With the final Red pull done, walk through the red door that just opened. Follow the path until you cross a purple line on the floor, then continue until you reach a blue line. Turn right, cross the blue line, and keep going until you spot a green line. Cross the green line and follow the path to the dead end, where the Sewer Key sits waiting. Pick it up. You cannot lose the key once it is in your inventory.

Open the Sewer Gate and unlock the Cosmic Farmer Badge

Take the key to the locked Sewer Gate near the Southwest Tunnel and use it on the door. The Cosmic Cash Vine sits behind the gate. Harvest the vine a single time, and the Cosmic Farmer Badge unlocks right away. The badge popup is your confirmation that everything worked.

The gate stays permanently unlocked for your character after this, so you keep returning access to the vine. Each harvest hands you a random amount of Cash and refreshes on a fixed timer. You can come back to the Cosmic Cash Vine every four hours for another payout, which makes it a steady extra income source on top of your tycoon and offline earnings.

Why the puzzle fails

If the Sewer Key never appears or a door refuses to open, the cause is almost always lever state rather than a bug. The puzzle is strict about both the order and which levers are on versus off at each step.

Leaving the game mid-puzzle resets every lever and forces a full restart.
Carryover from a previous UFO Key attempt can leave levers in the wrong position and block progress.
Skipping the unpull steps (4 and 5) keeps the Purple lever corridor closed.

When anything goes wrong, switch to a fresh server to reset all levers, then run the sequence cleanly from the Blue lever. Done in order, the route ends with the Sewer Key in hand, the gate open for good, and the Cosmic Farmer Badge added to your collection.
