The Life of a Pharmacist quest in Arc Raiders sends you back to the Buried City to help Lance, Speranza’s pharmacist, study how someone in his profession lived before the ARC invasion. The objective sounds vague – “document” a pharmacist’s life – but it boils down to finding a specific pharmacy and interacting with four objects inside.

How to unlock Life of a Pharmacist

Life of a Pharmacist is a quest from Lance. It becomes available after finishing Espresso for Apollo. Once Espresso is complete and you return to Speranza, Lance will eventually offer Life of a Pharmacist from his usual spot.

The quest description points you back to the Buried City, where Lance wants reference photos from a surviving pharmacy to inspire how he sets up his own space in Speranza.

Where to find Arbusto Farmacia in Buried City

The quest targets Arbusto Farmacia in the Buried City, located around Piazza Arbusto. This square is a busy combat area where ARC units and other raiders frequently pass through, so expect resistance on the way in.

On the map, Arbusto Farmacia sits toward the eastern side of Buried City. The building is easy to recognize once you are close: it has a green sign above the door that reads “Farmacia” and a green medical cross on or near the facade.

Arbusto Farmacia is one of two pharmacies in Buried City and is the same general type of location you visit for Lance’s earlier A Reveal in Ruins quest. For Life of a Pharmacist, you specifically need the Arbusto branch in Piazza Arbusto rather than the other pharmacy.

Unlike most shops, the front door here is locked and must be forced open.

Approach the main entrance with the green Farmacia sign. Breach the locked door using your usual method. The noise may draw nearby ARC patrols or other raiders, so make sure the immediate street is relatively clear before you start.

As soon as the door is open, move inside and close it behind you. This reduces the chance that enemies outside will spot or shoot you while you work through the objectives.

Note: Life of a Pharmacist does not require extraction to complete. If you want to minimize risk, you can load in with a free loadout, complete the scans, and leave without worrying about losing valuable gear.

How to document the pharmacist’s life upstairs

The quest asks you to document four aspects of the pharmacist’s life: family, skills, hobbies, and taste. All four objectives are found on the upper floors of Arbusto Farmacia, and each one is tied to a specific object you can interact with.

From the lobby, find the staircase and go up to the second floor. Directly ahead at the top of the stairs is a wall with framed family photographs. Interact with these photos to document the pharmacist’s family.

Turn around in the same upper hallway or room and look for a piano. Interact with the piano to record the pharmacist’s skill. This counts as the quest’s “skills” objective.

Move into the adjacent room on this floor. On top of a dresser, you will see potted plants. Interact with the flower pots to document the pharmacist’s hobby.

Still in that room, look toward the area behind the staircase that leads further up. A dining table sits beneath that higher stair run. Interact with items on this table to capture the pharmacist’s taste.

Once you have interacted with all four objects – photos, piano, plants, and dining table – the Life of a Pharmacist objectives are complete.

Combat and loadout considerations around Piazza Arbusto

Piazza Arbusto is often busy with both ARC machines and rival raiders, and breaching the pharmacy door creates noise. A cautious approach keeps you from being pinned inside the building while you work through the objectives.

Before breaching, circle the square to spot patrol routes and active firefights. Clear or avoid immediate threats so you are not attacked mid-breach.

Decide on your risk level. Since extraction is not required, a free loadout is enough to finish the quest if you prioritize stealth and speed. If you want to loot the pharmacy thoroughly, bringing higher-end weapons and medical items can help you win any fights you trigger.

After closing the door behind you, listen for footsteps and gunfire. If you hear enemies nearby, stay away from windows and wait for them to move on before you exit the building.

Looting Arbusto Farmacia and extracting safely

With the quest objectives finished, you are free to loot the pharmacy. Arbusto Farmacia often contains medical supplies that are useful for future raids, such as healing items and other consumables.

Sweep the ground floor shelves and counters for medical consumables and any higher-value items. Then recheck the upper floors for containers or loot spots you passed while focusing on the photos and other objects.

Once you are done looting, leave through the main door and move toward the nearby Eastern Station entrance, which sits very close to the pharmacy’s front. This gives you a short, relatively direct path out of the hot zone if you decide to extract.

Again, extraction is optional for the quest itself, but if you have picked up rare supplies or brought in strong gear, using the station for a clean getaway is usually worth the extra time.

Turning in Life of a Pharmacist to Lance

After finishing Life of a Pharmacist in Buried City, return to Speranza and speak to Lance to hand in the quest. He reviews the photos and information you gathered from Arbusto Farmacia and rewards you with experience and high-value medical items.

The reward package includes a Defibrillator, a Surge Shield Recharger, and multiple Sterilized Bandages. These items are especially helpful if your base does not yet have a Level II or III Medical Lab, where comparable equipment is harder to produce reliably. Completing Life of a Pharmacist is therefore both a narrative beat for Lance and a practical way to stock up on scarce medical tools early on.
