Bosses are the fastest route to rare swords, accessories, reroll items, titles, and keys in Sailor Piece. Some appear on their own in the open world, some need summoning items at an NPC, and others only show up inside dungeons or during events. Knowing which boss drops what saves you from grinding the wrong island.
Quick answer: You must deal at least 10% of a boss’s total HP to qualify for any drop. A pity system guarantees a rare drop on every 25th boss kill, so clear 24 easy bosses first, then kill the boss whose item you want to force the pity reward.
How boss drops and the pity system work
To receive loot from any boss, your damage contribution must reach 10% of that boss’s maximum HP. If you do less, you walk away with nothing, which matters most on high-HP targets where other players can crowd you out. Farming in a private server removes that risk entirely.
The pity counter guarantees a rare drop on every 25th boss defeated, and dungeon bosses count toward that same counter. A common tactic is to stack the counter on cheap, fast bosses, then switch to the target boss for the 25th kill. Drop percentages can shift depending on your luck stats.
Mob bosses (early leveling)
Mob bosses spawn passively on starter islands and gate behind level requirements. They drop only Cash and EXP, so they exist to push you through the leveling curve rather than hand out gear. There’s no reason to return once you outgrow their island.
| Boss | Level | Location | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thief Boss | 25+ | Starter Island | Cash, EXP |
| Monkey Boss | 500+ | Jungle Island | Cash, EXP |
| Desert Boss | 1,000+ | Desert Island | Cash, EXP |
| Winter Warden | 2,000+ | Snow Island | Cash, EXP |
| Panda Sorcerer | 5,000+ | Shibuya Station | Cash, EXP |
Open world bosses and drops
Open world bosses respawn automatically after a set cooldown, so you only need to be on the correct island when the timer ticks over. Most respawn within roughly five minutes, which makes rotating between them efficient. Aizen is the standout for rerolls since his Haki Color Reroll is guaranteed at 100%.

| Boss | HP | Location | Notable drops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jinwoo | 6M | Sailor Island | Haki Color Reroll (80%), Abyss Edge (17.5%), Dark Ring (7%), Shadow Heart (2%), Jinwoo Cape (3%), Shadow Monarch title (3%) |

Note: Gojo is your main supply of Limitless Keys for summoning Strongest of Today, and Sukuna feeds you Malevolent Keys for Strongest in History. Keep both in your rotation if you plan to fight the Shinjuku Island bosses.
Sea bosses and world bosses (Sea 2)
Sea Beasts spawn out on the open water. To trigger one, dash away from any island into open or deep sea with at least 500,000 bounty and stay roughly 200 to 600 studs from land. World bosses run on a server-wide 30-minute timer and only appear in Sea 2, with very high HP and heavy damage output.
| Boss | Type | Location | Notable drops (pity) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sea Serpent | Sea | Open / deep sea | Bloodline Stone, Clan Reroll, Kraken Armor, Dragon Queen title (110 pity) |
| Kraken | Sea | Open / deep sea | Bloodline Stone, Clan Reroll, Kraken Armor, Dragon Queen title (110 pity) |

Spawnable bosses and summon requirements
Spawnable bosses don’t appear on their own. You summon them at an NPC by spending the listed items, with most handled through the Boss Summoner NPC on Boss Island. The investment is higher than open world farming, but the drop tables are stronger.
The Divine Grail needed for Gilgamesh is crafted by combining three Broken Swords at the Divine Grail Crafter NPC. Broken Swords drop on Slime Island, though the rate is low, so gather them before committing to that summon.
| Boss | HP | Location | Cost | Notable drops |

Dungeon and tower bosses
Dungeon bosses appear at specific waves inside instanced content rather than the open world. You need a Dungeon Ticket to enter, and the bosses spawn at waves 5, 10, and 15. Because grinding them keeps you locked inside one dungeon, you can’t farm world bosses at the same time, but the kills still build your pity counter.
| Boss | HP | Location | Requirement | Notable drops |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shadow | 20M | Cid Dungeon (Waves 5/10/15) | 1 Dungeon Ticket | Umbral Capsule (12.5%), Void Seed (4.5%), Atomic Core (0.75%), Shadow Cloak (0.85%), Eminence in Shadow title (1%) |
| Shadow Monarch | 750M | Double Dungeon (Waves 5/10/15) | 1 Dungeon Ticket | Monarch Core (6.75%), Monarch Essence (2.75%), Kamish Dagger (0.75%), Monarch Armor (0.75%), King of Shadows title (0.8%) |
| Abyssal Empress | NA | Infinite Tower | 1 Tower Key | NA |
Tip: Difficulty scaling can raise drop rates on higher settings. Monarch Core, for example, climbs toward 12% on tougher Double Dungeon runs.
Event and unavailable bosses
Some bosses appear only during seasonal events and are removed once the event ends. While they’re gone, the only way to get their items is by trading with other players. Ragna is the current example, tied to Christmas Island.
| Boss | HP | Location | Notable drops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ragna | 12.5M | Christmas Island (unavailable) | Wyrm Band (25%), Black Frost (9%), Silver Requiem (3.5%), Ragna Sigil (2%), Dragon Slayer title (1.5%) |
Best boss farming route
Camping a single spawn wastes time. Because open world bosses respawn in roughly five minutes, you can rotate islands and clear several before the first one returns. By the time you finish the loop, Shibuya Station is usually ready again, letting you repeat without downtime.

Best early game bosses to farm
Not every boss is worth your time when you’re starting out. Four targets give the best return for a low-level build, mostly thanks to frequent spawns and useful key drops.
| Boss | Why it’s worth farming |
|---|---|
| Yuji | Easy fight, drops Energy Core and early accessories |
| Jinwoo | Strong early sword (Abyss Edge) and reliable reroll items |
| Gojo | Drops Limitless Key and useful combat items |
| Sukuna | Good rewards and a Malevolent Key source |
Saber on Boss Island is also worth a run early if you have spare Boss Keys, since his 100% Boss Ticket drop makes him the cleanest ticket source for the Boss Ticket Exchange NPC.
Tips for clearing bosses faster

- Use mobility abilities to dodge large attacks and reposition quickly.
- Lean on burst damage skills to remove big chunks of HP at once.
- Farm in private servers so other players don’t steal your damage below the 10% threshold.
- Bring a strong weapon or fruit build before attempting late-game bosses like Gilgamesh or Anos.
- Always confirm you’ve dealt at least 10% of the boss’s HP, or you receive no drops at all.
Whether you’re chasing a first reroll on Sailor Island or grinding toward Black Reaper at 49B HP, the loop stays the same. Hit the 10% damage floor, build the pity counter on quick kills, and rotate islands so a boss is always ready when you arrive.
