Paralives shipped its 0.1.3 update on June 6, 2026, the second patch since the life sim entered early access on May 25. The build rolls out through Steam on both PC and Mac, and it mixes new gameplay with a crossover event and a deep round of bug fixing.
Quick answer: Update Paralives to version 0.1.3 through Steam to get the Paralives x Unpacking collab, teen romance, group eating, a photosensitivity fade-speed option, and dozens of stability and pathfinding fixes.

New features in Paralives 0.1.3
The headline addition is a crossover with the game Unpacking. Your Parafolks can play Unpacking on a computer, gather Unpacking stamps, and decorate rooms with themed plushies and objects. Alongside it, three gameplay changes land in the same patch.
| Feature | What it does |
|---|---|
| Paralives x Unpacking collab | Play Unpacking on the computer, collect stamps, and add Unpacking plushies and objects to rooms. |
| Eat as a group | Each Para now takes and eats their own portion when the eat interaction runs as a group. |
| Teen romance | Teenagers can flirt and form romantic relationships with other teenagers. |
| Photosensitivity option | A new setting controls how fast trees and buildings fade out when they block the camera view. |
Save, stability, and modding fixes
Several fixes target the systems that protect your progress and your mod setup. The save system was reworked to lower the chance of corrupted files, and a separate bug that broke save loading after duplicating the same file too many times was resolved. That bug stretched file names until they were too long to open.
- Save files are less likely to corrupt thanks to save system improvements.
- Duplicating a save many times no longer creates an unloadable, overlong file name.
- The in-game font now displays more characters, so modders can build translations for more languages.
- Running more than 50 Steam Workshop mods no longer fails.

Fire system fixes
House fires received a focused cleanup so they always stay solvable. Fire no longer spreads into rooms your Parafolks cannot reach, which means it can always be put out.
- Smoke detectors now correctly call firefighters when a fire starts.
- An excessive number of firefighters no longer arrives at once.
- Firefighters now always wear their firefighter outfit.
- Firefighters act immediately rather than pausing 10 in-game minutes between interactions.
- The “Need ignored” interface no longer flickers during a fire.
Pathfinding, interaction, and object fixes
A wide set of movement and interaction problems were corrected so Parafolks navigate and use objects more reliably. Buildings now fade out smoothly instead of vanishing when they block the camera.
- Parafolks no longer teleport when you cancel a “Go to work” interaction.
- Fixed stair pathfinding from the top floor of Anisa’s apartment.
- Fixed a blocked hairdresser entrance that Parafolks could not use.
- Ovens placed in tight spaces are now reachable for cooking.
- Parafolks can now sit on the lip-shaped bench.
- Parafolks now sit on nearby couches when using Watch TV.
- The Modino wall sink now works.
- Floor graffiti around town no longer blocks the interaction menu when you click the floor.
- Moving a painting from an easel in build mode no longer leaves the cursor stuck.
- Cooking frozen pizza with an NPC no longer glitches or flickers.
- Small flag items no longer appear during vending machine use and other interactions.
- Empty bar shelves at the Story Nook lost the incorrect “Read book” option.

Skills, needs, and economy fixes
This patch also corrects how a few systems track progress and money. Bills were inflated by a water consumption bug, and that has been fixed. More activities now build the Fun need, and the telescope now actually raises the astronomy skill.
- Using the telescope increases the astronomy skill.
- Water consumption no longer makes bills excessively expensive.
- Children and pre-teen Parafolks voices are audible again.
- Townie requests automatically fail if the townie passes away.
- The Town Hall hall of fame wall now lists Townies with high skills your Paras can beat to claim a master photo.
- “Clean the beach” trash bags spawn right after you accept the request, stay visible when zoomed out, and the request can be completed.
- Fun need now rises from many more interactions, including Meli Melo, hopscotch, sandcastles, plushies, drawing on the floor, dancing, slow dancing, getting intimate, checking social media, reading books and newspapers, phone or computer games, watching TV, and vandalizing.

Paramaker and interface fixes
The Paramaker received targeted corrections, including a train-door issue introduced in patch 0.1.2 that left doors permanently open and hid the height slider ruler. Camera and unit display problems were addressed too.
- Train doors no longer stay open and block the height slider ruler.
- The camera no longer jumps when you use the height slider.
- Imperial heights show as inches, for example 5’11” instead of 5.98ft.
- Lot surface calculation no longer errors out in imperial units.
- Updated and added Patreon supporter names in the credits.
