Octowpus is a common Anomaly in Neverness to Everness (NTE) that appears across three Anomaly Commissions tied to a recurring “octopus trailer/truck” event in the open world. It is hunted under the Bureau’s Anomagram system, scales to the player’s Hunter Level, and rewards a fixed bundle of materials on first clear.
Quick answer: Octowpus shows up in three commissions across different districts: Invasion! Octopus Trailer! in Unheard Shores, Shadow of Whitetail Tree Circle Mountain Highway in Miguel District, and Ghost Boulevard Wild Rally in New Herland District. Each clear pays out 160 Hunter EXP, 20 Annulith, 8,000 Fons, 80 Bronze Carrota, 15 U-00NE, 4,000 Beetle Coins, and 3 Anomaly Material Selection Box I. None of the three drop a weapon Arc.

What Octowpus is in Neverness to Everness
Octowpus is classified as a common (non‑High‑Risk) Anomaly. The encounter is built around a mobile octopus‑themed truck/trailer that has to be tracked down and resolved in the field. Like every common Anomaly in NTE, the fight scales to your current Hunter Level, so the commission can be cleared at any point after it appears in your Anomagram.
Octowpus does not have a High‑Risk variant in the current commission list, which means there is no replayable boss‑level version with elevated rewards. The only payouts come from the three first‑clear commissions tied to the anomaly.

The same anomaly type drives three separate commissions. Each is found in its own district and is opened from the Anomagram on the World Map.
| Commission | District | Anomaly | Arc Drop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Invasion! Octopus Trailer! | Unheard Shores | Octowpus | None |
| Shadow of Whitetail Tree Circle Mountain Highway | Miguel District | Octowpus | None |
| Ghost Boulevard Wild Rally | New Herland District | Octowpus | None |
To start any of them, open the World Map, switch to the Anomagram tab, and select the commission to mark its rough location. Travel into that area and the trigger point appears in the world without further pre‑requisites.

Rewards per Octowpus commission
All three Octowpus commissions share the same reward template. Clearing all three nets triple the values shown below. There is no Arc weapon attached to any of them, so they are not priority targets if you are farming S‑rank weapons.
| Reward | Per clear | All three combined |
|---|---|---|
| Hunter EXP | 160 | 480 |
| Annulith | 20 | 60 |
| Fons | 8,000 | 24,000 |
| Bronze Carrota | 80 | 240 |
| U-00NE | 15 | 45 |
| Beetle Coins | 4,000 | 12,000 |
| Anomaly Material Selection Box I | 3 | 9 |
How to clear an Octowpus commission

Notes on prioritization
If you are early in the game and short on Annulith or Hunter EXP, the three Octowpus commissions together are a clean source of 480 Hunter EXP and 60 Annulith with no level gating. They are also useful for stockpiling Anomaly Material Selection Box I for character ascension materials.
If your goal is weapons, the Octowpus commissions can be deprioritized. Arc weapon drops in NTE come from commissions like Ride Assault (Raging Flames), Rhythm Master (Blow up the Crowd), and Deep Blue Sorrow (Song of the Whale), none of which involve the Octowpus anomaly.
The reward is a one‑time payout per commission, so once all three are cleared the Octowpus chapter of the Anomagram is fully closed unless a future patch adds a High‑Risk version.
