The Bee Event drops a whole second economy on top of your usual Build a Ring Farm setup. You collect bees, drop them in your hive, and they fly out over your crops to gather Nectar. When a bee fills its Nectar bar, it returns to the hive and converts the haul into Honey, the currency that fuels everything else in the event.
Quick answer: Talk to the Beekeeper NPC in front of your garden to claim a free Worker Bee, place every bee you own into the hive, then spend Honey at the Bee Rolling Station to pull new bees and use duplicates to upgrade them. Permanent bees come from milestone unlocks at the Bee Merchant in the center of the map.
How the Bee Event works in Build a Ring Farm
Each bee carries its own Nectar bar that fills as it flies across your farm. The moment that bar maxes out, the bee heads back to the hive on its own, turns the Nectar into Honey, and flies straight back out to repeat the loop. You never have to manage the cycle by hand.
Honey output scales with how much Nectar a bee brings home, and that number climbs as you level your bees up. Stronger bees gather faster, finish trips sooner, and stack Honey quicker over time. Beyond Honey, every placed bee also hands your farm a passive bonus while it is out flying, so the right lineup directly improves how your crops earn.
Layout matters more than it looks. Keep your ring farm packed with crops, because bees fan out from the hive in every direction and waste less time crossing empty ground when there is something to collect nearby. A fully planted ring around the hive is the simplest way to lift Honey income without spending a thing.

How to unlock and add new bees
Duplicates: Upgrade or sell
Rolling a bee you already own opens two paths. You can feed the duplicate into your existing bee to upgrade it, making it stronger and faster at collecting Nectar, or you can sell the duplicate back for a bit of Honey.
Upgrading is usually the better call. A higher-level bee finishes its Nectar trips quicker and deposits more Honey per run, and that advantage compounds the longer it flies. Selling is only worth it when you need a quick Honey boost to grab a specific reward from the Bee Merchant.
Bee Merchant and permanent bees
The Bee Merchant sits in the center of the map, so you pass through their stall during normal farm runs. They trade Honey for bees, useful farm items, and event-exclusive bonuses.
The standout offers are the permanent bees. Some of these are locked behind event progress milestones, and once you meet the conditions, the bee stays with you even after the event ends. These are the most valuable rewards on offer, so it pays to check each unlock requirement and work toward it while the event is live.
How to earn Honey faster
| Action | Why it helps |
|---|---|
| Fill the hive completely | Idle bees in your inventory make zero Honey |
| Plant out the whole ring farm | Bees reach crops faster and spend more time collecting |
| Upgrade duplicates instead of selling | Higher-level bees deposit more Honey per trip |
| Buy hive upgrades early | Holds more bees and raises overall Honey output |
| Visit the Bee Merchant often | Unlocks special items and permanent milestone bees |
Get the basics right and the rest of the event falls into place. Keep the hive stocked, the ring planted, your bees leveling through duplicates, and your milestone targets in sight, and Honey accumulates fast enough to keep pulling fresh bees. Stats for the hidden entries will firm up as more of the roster is unlocked.
