Apex Legends Season 29 Split 2 is the mid-season update for the Overclocked season, and it switches over the Ranked split, refreshes the battle pass track, and rolls in a batch of Legend changes. It arrives at the same moment for every region, so the only difference is what the clock says where you live.

Quick answer: Split 2 goes live on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10 AM PT / 5 PM UTC. The live servers stay up, so you only need to install the update, relaunch the game, and start queuing.

How to get into Split 2 once it launches

Wait until the launch time passes for your region. Because this is a mid-season patch rather than a full season drop, Respawn does not take the live servers offline for it.
Let the client pull the update through your platform. On PC, console, or Switch, the patch downloads through the storefront or launcher you normally use for Apex.
Relaunch Apex Legends and load into the menu. You can confirm Split 2 is active when the new Ranked split appears with your rank soft reset and the refreshed battle pass shows up. From there you can queue Ranked, Wildcard, or any other mode.

What changes with Season 29 Split 2

The split lands with a new Ranked split, a fresh battle pass track, and a sizeable set of Legend tuning. The headline adjustments touch Axle, Ballistic, Pathfinder, and Valkyrie, alongside a new Hop-Up.

  • Pathfinder receives long-requested changes aimed at lifting his pick rate.
  • Ballistic gets a kit tweak so his Tactical deals 50 damage when an enemy overheats their weapon.
  • Axle continues to be tuned after her Season 29 debut as the new Skirmisher.
  • A new Hop-Up, Executioner, becomes available on the Mastiff and Peacekeeper to give shotguns a boost.

The wider Season 29 Overclocked season began on May 5, 2026, and runs through August 4, 2026, when Season 30 takes over. Split 2 covers the back half of that window.

If your client has not pulled the patch right at 10 AM PT, give it a few minutes and restart the launcher, since updates can stagger slightly by platform. Once the download finishes and the new split shows in your Ranked tab, you are set for the rest of Overclocked.
