Tomatoes are an event-only collectible in Fisch, tied entirely to Owen Drift’s quest during FischFest 2026. They serve no purpose outside the festival, so the only reason to grab them is to satisfy Owen Drift’s request and close out his quest line.
Quick answer: Talk to Owen Drift in the FischFest area to start the quest, pick up every tomato scattered around the festival grounds until the counter is full, then return to Owen Drift and hand them in.

What the Owen Drift quest requires
Owen Drift is one of the event characters introduced for FischFest 2026. His quest asks you to deliver a set number of tomatoes, which appear as collectible items spread across the festival. Both the quest and the tomatoes exist only while FischFest is live, so they vanish once the event ends.
Tomatoes are not caught with a rod. You collect them by hand as you move through the area, the same way other FischFest pickups like the crabs and conches work for their own quests. That means you can grab them simply by walking the festival space and interacting with each one.

How to confirm the quest is complete
The quest registers as done the moment the tomato count reaches its target and you deliver the items to Owen Drift. After the turn-in, the objective clears from your active quest list, which is your confirmation that it worked.
If the counter stalls below the target, you are almost certainly missing tomatoes still sitting somewhere on the festival grounds. Retrace any corners or spots you passed quickly and collect the ones you skipped.
Because both the tomatoes and Owen Drift belong to FischFest, finish the quest before the festival closes. Once the event ends, the tomatoes stop spawning and the quest can no longer be completed.
