Sorting books fast in Clean the Library comes down to one thing. You need to know which shelf code each category belongs to before you ever pick up a volume. The library spans two floors, with ten lettered sections downstairs and six upstairs, and every section holds one themed group of books.
Quick answer: Place First Floor books in sections 1A–1J by category (Studio = 1A, Simulators = 1B, Avatar & Catalog = 1C, Myths = 1D, DevEx = 1E, Rules & Moderation = 1F, Obby/Parkour = 1G, Horror = 1H, Economy/Trading = 1I, History = 1J). Place Second Floor books in 2A–2F (Magic = 2A, Anime = 2B, Meditation = 2C, Military = 2D, Brainrot = 2E, Theme Parks = 2F).

Second Floor sections (2A–2F) and the books that go in each

| 2B | Anime | Tournament Arcs; Demon Hunters; Hero Academies; Ninja Chronicles; Mecha Warfare |

Note: The full book lists per section are still being expanded as more volumes and copy counts are confirmed in game.
How shelf completion unlocks magic
Magic abilities run on Stat Points, and Stat Points come from finishing shelves. Place every volume of a book on its correct shelf to complete it, and each completed shelf rewards 2 Stat Points.
Open the Magic Upgrades menu to spend those points on the ability you want to unlock or level up. You can also buy Stat Points with Robux, and the Unlimited Magic game pass unlocks every ability with max upgrades for 399 Robux. This is why accurate sorting matters more than speed early on. Wrong placements never complete a shelf, so they never feed your magic progression.
Multi-volume books to watch for
Some books are single volumes, while others require several copies before the shelf counts as finished. Knowing which sections hold the heavier sets helps you avoid leaving a shelf one volume short.
| Volume size | Count | Sections involved |
|---|---|---|
| 3-volume books | 48 total | Avatar & Catalog (1C), Myths (1D), Obby/Parkour (1G), Horror (1H), Meditation (2C), Military (2D) |
| 5-volume books | 16 total | History (1J) — 8 books; Economy/Trading (1I) — 8 books |
The eight 5-volume History books include Catalog Wars, Engine Patch Notes, Default Noob, The Great Oof Era, The Day of Free Models, Egg Hunt, Rise of the Builder Club, and The First Place That Ever Crashed. The eight 5-volume Economy/Trading books include Limited Item Pump and Dump Tactics, The Art of Scamming Limiteds, Roblox Inflation Crisis Report, Trade Request Spam Studies, Why Everyone is Suddenly Broke, Value List: Trust No One Edition, The Roblox BM That Doesn’t Exist, and The Rise of Fake Rich Players.
Controls for picking up, placing, and dropping books
Fast sorting depends on clean inputs. Here are the bindings for both PC and console.
| Action | PC | Console |
|---|---|---|
| Pickup / Place book | E | RT |
| Drop book | Q | B / O |
| Switch book | Scroll | LT |
| Abilities | 1, 2, 3, 4 keys | D-Pad |
You know a placement worked when the shelf accepts the book and a completed shelf returns Stat Points. If a book does not give a positive completion cue, pick it back up and recheck the section code before moving on. A mistake fixed now is far cheaper than auditing a full aisle later. You can jump into the library directly from its Roblox game page on PC, mobile, or console, and run public servers solo or with friends.
With the shelf codes memorized and the multi-volume sections flagged, your runs become a routing problem instead of a guessing game. Lock in the cheatsheet, sort accurately, and the Stat Points for magic follow on their own.
