Pulling well in Anime Destiny only matters if you know what to keep. The roster is full of beginner units that look fine early and then collapse once tougher stages and bosses arrive, so the smart move is to funnel your gems, trait rerolls, and artifacts into a short list of carries. The rankings below sort units by damage, utility, and how much they reward investment, then cover the traits and gear that push them to their ceiling.
Quick answer: Build around Frozen Moon (Kizuki), Founding Titan (Queen), or Shadow Monarch (Awaken) as your main carry, give them the Divine trait, and equip the Galactic Scouter, Strongest’s Coat, and Strongest’s Tricorn artifact set.
Anime Destiny unit tier list (June 2026)
Rankings assume each unit is at its EVO version, max level, with high-end stats and its optimal trait and gear. The top of the list mixes Secrets and the two strongest Mythics, while everything in C and D is a placeholder you should replace as soon as a Mythic or Secret lands.
| Tier | Units |
|---|---|
| S | Frozen Moon (Kizuki), Founding Titan (Queen), Shadow Monarch (Awaken), Ashura Swordsman (3SS), Crimson Knight (Dark), Red Emperor (Haki) |
| A | Magicbane (Anti-Magic), Future Warrior (Furious), Eternal Night (Blood), Insect Slayer (Poison), Eternal Knight |
| B | Radiant Hunter (Light), Destruction God (Mogger), Cyan Idol |
| C | Yellow Flash, Hawkeye, Corrupted Warrior, Crow Prodigy |
| D | Instinct Warrior, Verdant Warrior, Sea Guardian, Rogue Avenger, Ninefold Beast, Bulm |

Add to Google Preferences →S-tier carries and why they top the list
The meta units do more than hit hard. They stall waves, break shields, or nuke bosses on demand, which is why they earn the bulk of your resources. Frozen Moon (Kizuki) is the best shield breaker in the game and stuns on freeze, buying time for the rest of your board. Founding Titan (Queen) layers full AOE damage with Titan summons and can erase bosses with her active.
| Unit (Rarity) | Role | Best trait |
|---|---|---|
| Frozen Moon (Kizuki) — Secret | DPS plus stun-on-freeze stall and top shield break | Divine |
| Founding Titan (Queen) — Secret | Full AOE with summons, premier boss killer | Divine |
| Shadow Monarch (Awaken) — Secret | Base and summon damage, buff synergy with Crimson Knight | Divine |
| Ashura Swordsman (3SS) — Mythic | Best Mythic for DoT DPS and shield break | Divine or Stellar |
| Crimson Knight (Dark) — Secret | Strong stats, pairs with Shadow Monarch for a damage buff | Divine |
| Red Emperor (Haki) — Mythic | One of the two best Mythics overall | Divine |
Note: Crimson Knight (Dark) is slightly weaker than the other Secrets on its own, but the damage buff it shares with Shadow Monarch (Awaken) closes the gap. Run them together when you can.
A and B tier alternatives
The next bracket covers sub-meta DPS that still clears content well. Future Warrior (Furious) delivers near-meta single-target damage for bosses, and Magicbane (Anti-Magic) is one of the best shield breakers outside the S tier. Eternal Night (Blood) hits extremely hard but scales with crits, so its output is RNG-heavy and leans on the Sniper trait instead of Divine.
| Unit | Strength | Best trait |
|---|---|---|
| Eternal Night (Blood) | Heavy crit-scaling boss damage | Sniper |
| Future Warrior (Furious) | Near-meta single-target DPS | Divine |
| Insect Slayer (Poison) | DoT alternative to Ashura Swordsman | Divine or Stellar |
| Magicbane (Anti-Magic) | Top-tier shield breaking | Divine |
| Radiant Hunter (Light) | Crit-based single-target boss DPS (BattlePass) | Sniper |
| Destruction God (Mogger) | Solid DPS held back by high cost | Divine |
C and D tier: early units to replace
Yellow Flash, Hawkeye, and Corrupted Warrior are reliable starter Legendaries that carry the early-to-mid game and then fall off. Crow Prodigy, a Rare, is the standout exception in the low tiers because it provides genuinely useful shield-breaking DPS while you build up. Drop all of these once Mythics and Secrets come online.
Do not pour trait rerolls into C and D units. Save those rerolls for high-tier Mythics and Secrets, since you will swap out the early roster quickly. The one early roll worth chasing is Jack of All on a starter unit, which is a fine stopgap before your premium pulls arrive.
Best traits to roll
Traits define how a unit scales, and Divine sits at the top for almost every carry. Crit-reliant units like Eternal Night (Blood) and Radiant Hunter (Light) are the exception, where Sniper outperforms. Stellar is a strong second option on DoT units such as Ashura Swordsman and Insect Slayer.
| Tier | Traits |
|---|---|
| S | Divine |
| A | Ninja, Sniper, Stellar |
| B | Jack of All, Starlight |
| C | Elemental, Godspeed, Tycoon |
| D | Agility, Sight, Strength |
Tip: Tycoon sits in C tier for combat units, but it is the trait you want on farm and support picks like Bulm and Cyan Idol, since their job is economy and buffs rather than raw damage.

Best artifacts for your carries
Artifacts follow the trait choice. Divine carries want the full damage and utility set, while Sniper crit units swap into crit-focused gear. Match the loadout to the unit’s trait and you get the most out of every upgrade.
| Build | Artifacts |
|---|---|
| Divine carries | Galactic Scouter, Strongest’s Coat, Strongest’s Tricorn |
| Sniper crit units | Titan Slayer Blades, Scout Cloak |
How to reroll a unit’s trait
Farm and support units
Bulm and Cyan Idol fill the economy slot, both running the Tycoon trait. Cyan Idol doubles as a strong buffing support, making it the more flexible of the two on a competitive board. Keep one economy unit in the lineup so you can afford to place and upgrade your carries on time.
Two carries are tied to specific sources rather than the standard banner. Ymir drops from Legend Stage 3 at 150 pity, which unlocks once you finish the story, and Crimson Knight comes from farming the Igris Boss Event. Redeeming the latest Anime Destiny codes also helps stack gems and rerolls for a faster start before you commit resources to the meta picks above.
