Everything added in Fish It’s deep-sea drop, from the Forgotten-tier Trench Warden to the new pet egg and weather.

Fish It just added the Mariana Trench, a dark deep-sea zone that changes how the rarity ladder works and brings a fresh Forgotten fish, a new pet egg, custom pet name tags, reworked weather, and a code for free potions. Here is exactly what changed and how to grab everything.

Quick answer: Enter the Mariana Trench through the Mutation Cellar, then redeem the code MUTATION2 in the code box for 2x free Mutation II potions before you start fishing.

How to reach the Mariana Trench

The Mariana Trench is the headline addition, and you get to it through the Mutation Cellar. The zone sits far below the surface, so the whole area is dark and moody compared to the bright fishing spots you are used to.

The Mariana Trench is a deep, dimly lit fishing zone reached through the Mutation Cellar.

One thing to know before you dive in: the Trench skips the Mythical and Secret tiers entirely. The rarest thing you can pull here is a Forgotten-tier fish. There is also a Coming Soon area just past the current boundary, visible if you switch to free camera mode, which points to more Trench floors arriving later, each likely with its own fish pool.

New fish: Trench Warden and Coral Reaper

Two catches headline the fish additions, and they live in different places. The Trench Warden is the new Forgotten-tier fish, found deep inside the Mariana Trench. It uses an anglerfish design and reaches roughly 15 meters at max size, making it the top target of the new zone.

The Trench Warden is the update’s Forgotten-tier anglerfish, reaching about 15 meters.

The Coral Reaper is the new Secret-tier fish, and it does not spawn in the Trench. Head to Stingray Shores to hunt it. It caps out at 6 meters, which makes it a strong pickup for aquarium displays or anyone chasing a full collection.

Kawaii Egg pets

A new pet egg, the Kawaii Egg, is now available. Each pull has a chance to hatch one of six pets.

  • Gecko
  • Red Panda
  • Tiger
  • Unicorn
  • Kitsune

Customize your pet name tags

Pet name tags can now be styled with different text colors and fonts. It is a small change, but it lets you personalize a pet that used to look identical to everyone else’s.

Open your Pet Inventory.
Find the pet you want to change and click Edit Pet.
Pick your font style, then set your preferred text color.
Choose Save to apply the changes. The custom-styled name shows on the pet immediately, confirming it worked.

Weather changes: Meteor Shower and Fog

The update reworks the weather system with one new event and one replacement. Meteor Shower is brand new. When it triggers, streaks of light fall across the sky, and it grants a passive Reeling Speed boost while active.

The old Cloudy weather is gone. In its place is Fog, which comes with updated visual effects that look cleaner, run better on lower-end devices, and create a more atmospheric mood than Cloudy did.

Redeem the MUTATION2 code

Do this first. Type MUTATION2 into the code redemption box to receive 2x free Mutation II potions. Mutations raise the power of your fish, so these are worth claiming before you head into the Trench. A confirmation and the potions landing in your inventory tell you the code applied.

That covers the full Mariana Trench drop. Grab the code, then chase the Trench Warden and Coral Reaper, roll the Kawaii Egg, and give your favorite pet a name tag that finally looks like yours.
