Jailbreak on Roblox: 9th Anniversary Map Revamp, Player Count & More

Updated July 6, 2026 By AllThingsHow Staff 12K playing now

Jailbreak is one of Roblox’s longest-running experiences, built by Badimo around a simple cops-and-robbers premise: pull off heists as a criminal or chase them down as police, with friends able to join either side. Nine years after launch, the game is still drawing a substantial live audience, with more than 11,000 players in it at any given moment and nearly 8 billion visits logged over its lifetime.

Favorites sit at nearly 18.6 million, a scale that puts Jailbreak among Roblox’s most enduring hits rather than a passing trend. Below is a look at where the game stands today, what its most recent update changed, and what to know if you’re checking in after time away. Last updated July 6, 2026.

Badimo hasn’t put Jailbreak on Roblox’s official in-game events calendar yet, so there’s nothing scheduled there for now — the game’s momentum instead comes from direct content updates like the one below.

What changed in the latest update

Badimo is calling its most recent patch the biggest in Jailbreak’s history, timed to the game’s ninth anniversary. The headline change is a map overhaul that adds canyon terrain, a new city area, and additional locations to explore, alongside a reworked interface with updated menus and a redesigned speedometer.

New heists and vehicles

The update also introduces a new small-scale heist centered on robbing a grocery store, giving players a lower-stakes option alongside Jailbreak’s bigger bank and vault jobs. Five new vehicles have been added for players to unlock and drive around the expanded map.

Volcano base and Season 32

The volcano base, one of Jailbreak’s existing hideout locations, has been expanded with a fourth tier of upgrades for players who invest in building it out. Alongside that, Season 32 has introduced a street-racing theme, bringing new prizes and contracts for players to work through as they progress.
