Honeyglow Woods splits into four distinct regions, and you cannot roam all of them the moment you step through the portal. Access is gated behind the main storyline, so each new area opens only after you clear a specific quest. The good news is that the path is fixed, which means you always know exactly what unlocks next.
Quick answer: Progress the Honeyglow Woods main story in order. Drowsybloom Acre opens during Prologue: Childhood Treasures, Gloommeadow at the Chapter 4 quest, Braveheart Grove at the Chapter 7 quest, and Nectar Apiary at the Interlude 3 quest. There is no way to skip ahead.
The four Honeyglow Woods biomes and their unlock quests
Unlocking is linear. You must finish the story quest tied to each region before the next one becomes reachable, and the sequence never changes. The table below pairs every biome with the exact quest that opens it.
| Order | Biome | Unlock quest |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Drowsybloom Acre | Prologue: Childhood Treasures |
| 2 | Gloommeadow | Chapter 4 quest |
| 3 | Braveheart Grove | Chapter 7 quest |
| 4 | Nectar Apiary | Interlude 3 quest |
Because the story also introduces Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet as you go, working through these quests is the same process that lets you befriend all three characters.

What each biome adds beyond the story
All four regions share the same core resources, including Honeyglow Woods’ flowers and fish. Two things set them apart. Gloommeadow, Braveheart Grove, and Nectar Apiary add Juniper Berries to their wild berry bushes, and each biome hosts a different hedgehog variety on its own schedule. Drowsybloom Acre is also where you first learn the Beekeeping mechanic shortly after starting the questline.
| Biome | Hedgehog | Spawn window |
|---|---|---|
| Drowsybloom Acre | Classic Hedgehog | All day, every day |
| Gloommeadow | Green Hedgehog | Daily, 12 am to 12 pm |
| Braveheart Grove | Yellow Hedgehog | Daily, 12 pm to 12 am |
| Nectar Apiary | Orange Hedgehog | Wed, Sat, Sun only, 12 pm to 12 am |
The Orange Hedgehog in Nectar Apiary is the rarest of the four because its window is limited to three days a week.
How to confirm a biome is open
You know a region has unlocked once the matching story quest completes and the area becomes walkable without an invisible wall or blocked path. If a biome still feels sealed off, you have not yet finished the quest that opens it. Check your active Honeyglow Woods questline and keep advancing the main story, since none of the four regions can be reached out of sequence.
Note: One known snag can appear during the story around the Interlude leading toward the deeper Gloommeadow area, where Eeyore may get stuck. If that happens, clear at least two obstacles from his path to let him continue.
Follow the four quests in order and the entire Woods opens up naturally, leaving you free to fish, farm honey, and decorate every corner once the story wraps.
