Fischfest (summer limited event, live now)
Fischfest is Fisch’s summer celebration, and Fisching calls it the biggest event the game has ever run. It gives the world a beach makeover, adds a run of season-themed quests, and drops in limited fish that only wash ashore while the event is live. Those event-only catches are the main draw, since they disappear once Fischfest closes.
The event opened on June 20, 2026 and now runs until September 12, 2026, with both the start and the finish set for 12:00 PM ET (9:00 AM PT, 5:00 PM UK time). That makes September 12 the last day to take part, up until midday Eastern. With about 160,000 players marked interested, it is comfortably the most popular thing on the calendar.
Skycrest (floating island, upcoming)
Skycrest is the next update, a new location the developer describes as a floating island rising up beneath Fischfest. The pitch is straightforward: swim up to Skycrest Island and explore what’s waiting there.
It opens on September 5, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET (9:00 AM PT, 5:00 PM UK time) and runs through September 12, sharing its final day with Fischfest’s close. Interest sits at about 52,000 players ahead of the drop.

Astral Observatory (limited event, now ended)
Astral Observatory was a brief limited event that ran under the banner “The Fishing Anomalies.” Fisching stayed deliberately vague about what it held, leaning on the mystery rather than spelling out the details ahead of time.
It ran from August 22, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET until 8:00 AM ET on August 24, and that window has now closed. Despite the short run, it pulled about 83,000 interested players, among the busier of the summer’s quick drops.
The Deep (underwater expansion, now ended)
The Deep was an underwater expansion that opened a wide, open region far below the surface, built more for exploration than a tight new zone. It added new rods, spears, and harpoon guns to find, plus a full bestiary of fish modeled on real-life species.
It ran from August 8, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET until 8:00 PM ET on August 10, and that window has now closed. It drew about 83,000 interested players, one of the stronger turnouts among the summer’s shorter drops.
