What you do in Chameleon
Every match is a race against the clock built around camouflage. Hiders try to make themselves invisible by matching the colors and patterns of the map around them, while seekers move through the world using special abilities to sniff out anything that looks out of place. The catch is that hiding well takes active effort — you’re not just standing still and hoping, you’re dressing your character to fit the room.
Painting and hiding in plain sight
Hiders get a small painting toolkit to disguise themselves: a brush for detail, a fill tool for large areas, a color picker to grab the exact shade of a nearby surface, and undo and redo to fix mistakes on the fly. Beyond blending in, you can freeze in place so movement doesn’t give you away, and even taunt seekers who wander too close. The best players lean on all of it, treating each hiding spot as something to be painted into rather than simply crouched behind.
Seekers and the hunt
On the other side, seekers are equipped with abilities to help them track hiders down before the round ends. That turns each match into a back-and-forth: hiders keep adjusting their camouflage as the map and lighting shift, and seekers use their tools to spot the seams. Whether a round goes to the hiders or the seekers usually comes down to who reads the environment faster.
